Should i buy new baby bedding?

Question: Should i buy new baby bedding?

(Posted by: Mary Lee on 2009-11-02 14:36:20)

So, this is probably a ridiculously stupid question but I& #039;m on the fence and just don& #039;t know. I lost a baby in January, m/ c, and we had already bought crib bedding for a girl. We& #039;re not sure what this new baby is yet, but if its a girl I& #039;m not sure what to do. Do you think/ would you sell it and get new bedding or just keep it since it hasn& #039;t been used. I mean, I look at it and think about how heartbroken I was when we lost the baby, but then again its a really beautiful set. I just don& #039;t know what to do....ahhhhhh!

It 's not a stupid question at all but I think it should be a personal decision. If it were me I would probably get new bedding.

This isn 't a stupid question at all. If you really can 't bear to look at the bedding without thinking about the baby you lost, then it 's probably best to sell it or give it away. I am so sorry for your loss, but congrats on the new baby!

Well my daughter passed away almost 3 years ago and she has a ton of stuff that I kept. It really is your choice for me it would be to soon to use her stuff. But after almost 3 years I decided that if I was going to have a girl I wouldn 't use anything that she did but I would use the stuff that she didn 't such as her bigger clothes. I didn 't have to make that choice because im having a boy which I think is going to be easier for me mentally since this is the first baby since we lost our daughter. I kept everything that was our daughters and I don 't plan on giving it away or selling it anytime soon. I just feel like I would be losing a part of her if I did. What I would do if I was you is wait till you find out the sex before upsetting yourself thinking about it and if you have a girl then decide what to do from there. You may be having a boy and not even have to worry about it. Good luck!
