You should only use a fitted sheet in the baby 's crib. I bought 5 fitted sheets so I would have more than enough. Blankets and flat sheets are great for giving baby tummy time or putting them on their backs, i always put clean sheets down when my daughter is on the ground. I think I bought about 15 receiving blankets to swaddle my daughter in but she ended up hating to be swaddled so I now use them for burping/ spit up. I got about 10 blankets to put on the floor for her to play on and she can use them for blankets in her crib once she is old enough. If your concerned about your child being cold at night you should make sure your house is at a comfortable temp. for a lightly clothed adult. At night my daughter wears her PJ 's, socks and a diaper... that 's it. Putting blankets/ toys/ crib bumpers in the bed is very dangerous for baby, so is over heating both of these contribute to SIDS. |

With a newborn, all you need is a fitted sheet for the baby mattress. You may want to get 2- so you can have a clean one while the dirty one is being washed. Other than that, you only need a light blanket for a newborn- no extra bedding in the crib as this could cover their face and smother them. |

All you really need is a fitted sheet to start off with. There should be minimal blankets/ sheets in the crib while baby is younger to help avoid suffocation. |

You only need a fitted sheet. Babies shouldn 't use flat sheets or blankets in the crib because of SIDS risk. They make wearable blankets (sleep sacks) and swaddler blankets to wrap up your baby like a little burrito so they can be warm but not have material near their face. https:/ / halosleep.com/ kiddopotamus.com/ p_swdl_123.php |
