Question: Is it safe to wash baby bottles in the dishwasher?
(Posted by: ♥Lilly♥ on 2010-03-07 23:29:14)
I have never used a dishwasher and Im just using it right now I put the baby bottles on the top rack. Also all plastics go on the top rack? I also put jet dry and was wondering if it leaves any harmful residue on the baby bottles. I really wonder if the dishes come out cleaner than doing them by hand.... |

Its safe! I wash my baby 's bottles but put them on the top rack. It 's actually good to put them in the dishwasher because the hot water helps to disinfect them |

Of course -wash in the dishwasher or with warm soapy water in the sink. the bottles are no different from your cups. |

You can clean your baby bottles in the dishwasher aslong as they are dish washer proof, the dish washer gets alot hotter than normal hand washing so it should be alot more cleaner |

They sure do come out cleaner. But I would skip the Jet Dry. Wash the bottles w/ out any detergent. The water is hot enough to kill anything living in them! And you don 't want to take a chance that it does leave a residue! And if you wonder if they are clean, give them another turn in the dishwasher! I have 3 girls (16, 13 and 10) and washed every 1 of their bottles in the dishwasher and they are all still here!! ;) Relax! Take an easy and feel safe about it! |

I only put my daughter 's bottles in the dishwasher once and I decided that I can get them cleaner, so I just run the sink full of really hot water (so hot that I can 't touch the water) and when it is cool enough to touch I wash them. I also boil the bottles about once every 2 weeks. If you do put them in the dishwasher don 't use jet dry, only detergent. |

Yes, i do it all the time, just make sure u have bottles that are dishwasher safe, and i use Jet Dry too, and i don 't think it would leave anything harmful on it, but never really thought about it. I def. think they come out cleaner in the dishwasher then they do by hand, :D |
