I just bought a ergo carrier and was told to wrap the waist band around my hips, which i did. but my low back starts hurting after 20 mins or so, what am i doing wrong? also, could u sit down while carrying ur baby?

I also have an ergo baby carrier and couldn 't live without it. It is difficult to answer your question because without seeing you wearing it, I can 't tell you where you have it adjusted wrong. But it shouldn 't hurt like that so you likely have the straps too loose somewhere or positioned wrong. The waist band shouldn 't be around your hips but rather sitting ON your hips to support the weight. So maybe you are carrying your baby too low. Also, how big is your baby and which carrying position are you using? I can easily sit down while carrying my 1 year old in the ergo. The front carry position makes it super easy to sit down. I like this position best because I am face to face with my baby and can talk to her and look at her in the eyes as I go about my errands. Best of luck figuring it out and don 't dispair. There is a learning curve and these things can take a few weeks to get used to for all of us.
