Which baby carrier or sling would you suggest?

Question: Which baby carrier or sling would you suggest?

I am looking into getting a baby carrier or sling which would you all suggest? I love how the slings look especially the peanut shell they are so cute but I am afraid baby will fall out.I had a snuggie it was ok but a bit uncomfortable.I would be using the sling or carrier on a daily basis to walk my two other children to school and I need to hold both of their hands so I will not be able to keep readjusting it.I would take a stroller but the school is very crowded and i want to hold my other children& #039;s hands.Which sling or carrier do you think would best suit me?

I honestly suggest getting a piece of jersey fabric and making your own. E-How has great directions on how to make baby slings, even no-sew slings. I found that was the most comfortable for me. Plus my son never fit to well in anything else. I could make it to fit him - it worked for me.

Carriers > > Baby Bjorn, Ergo Baby Sling/ wrap > >Baby Buddha, Mamakangouroo Wrap, Cuddly Wrap. peapod wrap Personally I like the wraps better. They are faaarrr more comfortable and adjust easily to any body shape and could be used well into the toddler years if you like. Do a youtube search on cuddly wrap or peapod wrap and it will show you how to wear it and how comfortable they are! ! they are a life/ back saver! !

If I were you, I 'd check with local baby stores or with midwives/ doulas in your area to see if they know of any babywearing seminars where you can try out several different slings to see which suits you, your body and your needs best. A quick google also reminded me of these sites: thebabywearer.com/ babywearing.com/ I know the UK also has a yahoo group called something like UK-babywearning-swap, it 's listed on this other BW site: slingmeet.co.uk/ sling-resources.html

How old is your baby? My favorite carrier in general is the Ergo. It is totally hands free and can be used on your front, hip, or back. It is really comfortable especially once baby gets older. This would be my suggestion if your baby is 4 months+ . It can be used for younger babies (I used it from birth with two of my kids) but depending on the size of the baby and the size of the mom, there are typically better options. The Ergo might not be totally hands free with a tiny baby. If you have a newborn or are pregnant, I would suggest something like the Moby Wrap. The Moby is a great carrier for newborns, you have to tie it on but it is a little stretchy so you can just pop baby in and out throughout the day without ever taking it off. However, it doesn 't work well for babies over 15-20 pounds because of that stretch.

Sling is okay, it is so cute it 's true but i am not sure of safety. I am still in favor of you getting a good stroller. You can have a double jogging stroller because it can carry your baby safely, plus they will be comfortable. i choose jogging strollers because these are made for running so your little ones are safe. You may also use this to help you keep your shape. If you care about the size, i saw a site called doublejoggingstrollerreviews.com/ , they review several strollers and the features are listed. you can choose small ones. I hope my idea will help, but if you really like the look of a sling, i can say, they are really cute :)

I LOVE my Moby D and my Babyhawk mei tai! They are both so great because they distribute baby 's weight evenly, whereas a pouch or sling you have to switch sides since it really aches after a bit. I also love how secure my babies are in them; no worries they will fling themselves backward and possibly fall out. :) Both your hands are free when you choose this type of carrier. **The regular Moby is more stretchy, but the Moby D has a variety of panels to choose from that make them stronger to support older, heavier babies. Mine has a beautiful strong silk panel. I wore my oldest until she was 30 lbs and 2.5 years old very easily! :)
