Question: What baby carrier/sling would you recommend?

I think I have settled on the Moby Wrap, I have it saved on my wish list on Amazon.com but wanted to see what others had to say before buying. I tried the Snuggli with my daughter and it really hurt my back, I had bought the infantino sling for my son but he hated it and I returned it, I heard it was recalled so glad I didn& #039;t use it, was going to get the babyBjorn but noticed a lot of women aren& #039;t wearing these anymore and I have heard good things about the MOBY, but still all reviews were not great so anyway just thought I would see what people have to say. |

I preferred a wrap over a sling or pack-type carrier, though some people prefer one of the latter. I loved my Didymos wrap. A friend borrowed the Didymos to try, and then tried a Moby Wrap - she liked the Moby better. Most wraps are going to be pretty similar, with the differences being in the weight and stretchiness of the fabric. A less-stretchy fabric is better for carrying larger babies/ toddlers, a lighter-weight fabric is more comfortable in hotter weather, a thicker fabric is more comfortable on the shoulders, etc. There 's some good info. on choosing a sling at the site below. |

I loved the Maya sling. I can 't say enough good things about it. I used it from the time my son was a newborn until he was two or so, and could have used it longer if he 'd wanted to. I snuggled him up against my chest when he was tired, let him sit upright facing out when he wanted to look around, and turned it around to carry him on my back when he got bigger. The sling folded up to fit in my purse. I nursed him in it all the time and no one knew. It was completely adjustable. And the best part is, they 're really simple to make, so if you don 't want to spend the money on one, you can buy some fabric and a couple steel rings, spend ten minutes with a sewing machine, and have your own Maya sling! One for each day of the week! |

I personally use the back pack carrier. However, my baby doesn 't like to be cradled, he likes to be in an upright position so that is why it worked best for me. |

I have an Ergo. It is VERY comfy! It distributes the babies weight very well, I have never had a problem with my back hurting. It also carries the baby in a way that doesn 't hurt the baby 's spine (like some that hold the baby up by its crotch) I have heard really good things about the Beco as well. Before I got the Ergo I was interested in the Mai Tai. I was thinking of getting the BabyHawk Oh Snap. I also have heard good things with the Moby Wrap, but they tying thing scared me. |

I have a Moby Wrap and I really like it! My baby is 5 weeks and I 've used it almost every day! When you first get out of the package it looks really big and confusing but once you put it on a few times it 's actually very easy. Doesn 't take long to get the hang of and baby is very comfy in it! The only thing I don 't like is it 's a little uncomfortable to wear when it 's hot outside but other then that its perfect. I had a hotsling with my first and it was ok but I like the Moby Wrap much better. |
