Question: What is that baby carrier thing called that you can carry your baby in the front called?

It looks like two book bag straps in the front and the baby sits in it?

The Ergo? You do NOT want the ones with baby facing forward, they are AWFUL and last only about 4 months if that before your back goes out. Plus, these carriers are bad for baby's hips and spine. here are great SAFE carriers and slings: attachedtobaby.com/ I have the 2 yr old on my back in the Ergo, but he really loves the ring sling too. He is too big now to be carried in the front!

I would have to go with a sling being the best and not one that looks like a backpack. Don't want to cause permanent back and neck damage over something as simple as a baby carrier. And also, babies do like to sleep and feed in them etc. They do adjust for toddlers to sit on with a bit of support. That site the above answerer gave looked absolutely brilliant. I'd go with her answer.
