One is a baby chair & one is a swing-do i need both for my newborn?

Question: One is a baby chair & one is a swing-do i need both for my newborn?

Both of these look useful, but do I really need both? If I only need one, Which one is better for a new baby? http:/ / www.amazon.com/ Fisher- Price- Baby- Papasan- Cradle- Swing/ dp/ B0001IU5HY/ ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/ 002- 3053161- 4568835?ie=UTF8& amp;s=baby- products& amp;qid=1186967419& amp;sr=8- 1 http:/ / www.amazon.com/ Fisher- Price- Baby- Papasan- Infant- Seat/ dp/ B000BXAIDA/ ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/ 002- 3053161- 4568835?ie=UTF8& amp;s=baby- products& amp;qid=1186967469& amp;sr=8- 2

I had both with a couple of my kids but the last two I just had the swing. I don 't think you really NEED both, but it is fun to buy things for baby. My kids all used the swing way more than the chair!!

Well, is it a high chair?? Because they can eat in high chairs and swings. But they can only sleep in swings. My mom has both, I a swing is your best bet if you only want to purchase one item. Good Luck!

I used my chair once and my daughter hated it. Save the money and buy a travel swing. They are worth it.

In my opinion you don 't need either of the items you have pic for here...you need something that will grow with your baby. I had a swing and a baby bouncy chair for my daughter and she used both for a long time and they both came in handy for me too when I needed to put her down I knew she would be safe in either one, but the one 's that you are asking about look like they are only for very young children. You should get something that can be used well into the baby 's 1st year or so. This will save you money in the long run because you won 't be buying new stuff all the time.

Our daughter didn 't really like the infant chair. She LOVED the swing (we had the Aquarium one that is similar to yours). The swing was a lifesaver. We put it away finally when she was a year old because she really didn 't need it anymore. For her first one or two months she slept in it at night (doctor said it was fine) in our bedroom. We ended up getting two small travel swings also to leave at my mom 's and to move around our house. We wouldn 't have survived without them :) FYI: We also had a regular swing that only goes back and forth but by 5 1/ 2 months she could reach out, grab the bars, and stop it. Very dangerous. The kind you are looking at has the bar where a baby can 't reach which I think is much better.

I have that swing and let me tell you it is a lifesaver! My son loves it...he can spend a long time swinging and staring up at himself in the mirror. I think instead of getting the seat, get a bouncy seat instead. The Fisher Price Rainforest bouncy seat has worked really well for me.

No..you do not need both..but both are very useful..the bouncy seat travels easy so you can take the baby into the kitchen while you clean and the swings really help entertain them and put them to bed tho..your baby is only going to be in both for a few mos to a year...so its almost not worth buying the really expensive brands unless you plan on using them for more then one baby...

The only benefit to the baby chair is you can take it everywhere in the house with you, as for the swing it 's stationary. I had both and I found that I used the baby chair more than the swing. Find a baby chair that rocks and you 'll be made in the shade. I 've learned that you don 't have to spend unnecessarily for your newborn. Enjoy your new bundle of joy!

You need BOTH! The swing comes in soo handy... you will find that the most useful. At least that is the one that i use most often. As for the bouncy chair... it 's nice to pick it up, take it into the bathroom if you shower, or if you are in a different room. I found that when my son was first born, there were times when he liked to be in the swing, and then there were times that only the bouncing could sooth him. The bouncy seat vibrates too.. which is nice for a newborn. My son loved the vibrations! Good luck! It 's a smart choice in my opinion to get both. You can use them, and then always sell them.

That answer would depend on your baby. One of my boys would only use a swing and one would only use the bouncy seat. The third was moody and would use both depending on how he felt. lol We bought and kept both the swing and bouncy seat for our little ones. If you want to save money, you could go with a swing that will hold a higher weight limit and a bouncy seat that will last longer. Baby Papasan seats and swings don 't always hold larger infants.

Swing is really the best way to go cuz they sit still if you want and they can rock the baby to sleep when you need it to.

Well, im not a mom yet so i dont know which one is better...however! ij ust saw the first one you posted at a used kids store (though it was in BRAND NEW condition) for less than 50 bucks! so shop around!!!!!!!

No you do not need the chair. baby will grow out of it before you can say her name.. As for the swing, thats the best thing i 've bought for my son. I think that one can also recline so it serves as a chair itself. but i would buy a bouncer. My son is 5 months and still uses it.. and loves it. It 's light to carry and serves as a chair when he doesnt want to look at the toy bar but watch me do dishes = ]

I bought the Graco Swing n bounce, which is a swing with a detachable bouncy chair. My 13 day old loves it. It 's really easy to use, plus you can use the vibrating feature with the swing, which my son loves. It 's also a lot cheaper than buying both. They sell it
