Question: If you have a fisher-price baby chair -- a bouncer, papasan -- that vibrates, how well does that work (more)?

...does the vibration unit turn off after a set amount of time, or will it just keep going indefinitely? Did it at one time turn off after a set amount of time, and did it eventually stop turning off and now it just goes forever? The papasan manual says it switches off after 15min. It did, and it just keeps going, now. I could& #039;ve sworn the bouncers I have (& quot;Rainforest, & quot; & quot;Ocean Wonders& quot;...) did the same thing at the start (they now just keep on, tho) It& #039;s not like they& #039;ve been heavily used, so :- P to Fisher- Price, I say... |

You have to turn it off and like someone else said, our baby also hated it, so she used it only for sitting in. Edit: Ours was rarely used...she uses it more now as a place to sit and relax- like her own recliner! She is a peanut and is within the weight limits at 17 months old...but she really wasn 't in it much. It definately was one of those, "Why did we waste the money on this thing... " thing! ;-) |

We have one. Ours has never turned itself off, just keeps going until we switch it off. Its a fantastic buy, our little boy loved it and it always got him off for a nap. Fantastic!!! |

I 've got the rainforest bouncer. You have to switch it off, as it does not have a timer. I wish it did, because that would save some battery life! |

Mine just keeps on vibrating, i always forget to turn it off. Many a time i 've come down in the morning and heard a strange buzzing noise, and freaked out only to realise it was her chair. I dont really like the chair itself though, it lays her too low so she cant see whats going on (we only use it for meal times, she sits on it on the dinner tabel!) and she often struggles to get a better view of everything. |
