Question: Vibrating baby chairs are the same as shaking a baby?

All of you get vibrating chairs but are preaching how bad shaking babies is. I dont get this. Isn& #039;t vibrating a baby the same thing. What if I put my baby in my lap or on my leg and start shaking it. that is the same as shaking baby. explain yourselves vibrating chair buyers! yeah no. I didnt know. when your reading about shaking baby syndrome it never says its a violent shake. it just says shaking a baby causes severe damage in its brain. I suspected it would be like some phsyco really shaking a baby. thats so crazy. I am so worried about the baby. couldnt imagine really trying to hurt it. I cant even put a baby shirt on because I dont want to bend his fingers. stupid little sleeves. sorry didnt know yahoo answers required research. you culd say that to anyones question. do your research. most questions have been answered anyway. just look up an old one. google it before you yahoo answer. who the hell are these people answering my questions anyway?

Vibrations are not the same thing, the vibrations of the seats are like that of a massage chair, very mild soothing vibrations. To cause shaken baby syndrome you really have to shake a baby. Bouncing a baby on your knee isn 't even enough to cause shaken baby syndrome. You really need to do your research because if you did you would know just how hard a baby has to be shaken to do that damage.

Ummm A vibrating chair is mild almost buzzing like sensation where as shaking a baby is grabbing it by the shoulders and thrusting back and forth. Bouncing a baby on you lap will not cause the swishing sensation in the brain. but i don 't recommend bouncing baby til its about 4 to 5 months generally not til it can hold its own head up without support.

Good question, but i think vibrations would be slightly different to violently shaking your baby, and i wouldn 't think they would sell them if it would be detrimentle to your baby. but then again these days who knows? i think it is best to stick to the safety notes that go with the products and if in doubt don 't buy it!

Shaking baby is WAY different then tiny little vibrations. The vibrations soothe and calm the baby, where when you violently shake a child their brain smashes against their skull over and over again and they can endure horrible neck injuries as well.
