Question: How maney times should you wash baby cloths?
(Posted by: ugggggggg on 2009-09-30 14:33:57)
Im 16 weeks pregnant, and im going to be doing a load of my babys cloths right now... more like two load ([LOL]) well my last pregnant i washed his cloths at 20 weeks and again about 1- 2 weeks before he was born, i like to wash cloths twice just incase, because of all the shipping chemicals, and i like to wash toys, bottles, and binkis at least 3- 4 times before use, so im going to do a load now, and wash them again 1- 2 weeks before she is born BUT alot of my family is telling me to wash them 3 times before use? i mean if thats true then i have no problem washing, and folding them again, i love doing stuff like this =]. but im just seeing wut u ladys think, and how maney times do u wash cloths before use? Well then again im a bit of a clean freak i was my sons, and my bedding once a week, and if i dont wear cloths for over a month, and there just sitting in my closet or something, ill wash them. |

Honey, did you quit school to have children, because your spelling is atrocious. Washing clothes (or anything else) once before use should be enough. Be sure to use a gentle laundry detergent with no perfumes. |

I thought I needed to wash them 3-4 times. Turns out you only really need to wash them once, twice if they are pre-worn. I washed the moses basket cover too Xx |

Well I will only be washing them once and then storing them in a plastic container until my baby is born that way they stay nice and clean and fresh. :D |

I didn 't wash anything other than onsies and those cute little gown type sleeper thigs until I KNEW we were going to use them. Thankfully I didn 't... I ended up returning over $400 in baby clothing to Carter 's because my son out grew them before we got to use them... So, personally, just once in a detergent such as Dreft or even the ALL Free and Clear is fine. |

I wouldn 't be so worried about his clothes. Once should be fine. It 's the bottles, pacifiers and anything else that will be going into his mouth that I would be more concerned with. Just my opinion. Keep in mind if you over wash things they will wear out faster. You dont want the baby 's stuff to wear out before he 's even had a chance to wear it. |

Lol wow you r really a neat person...What I do is wash half now and half later on the day because spending everyday with the baby is the aw-sum part of being a first time or a pro mom... If you do do stuff like that always do them when the babies sleeping that way you have more stuff to get done then when the baby being awake... Anyways I do half now and half later everyday.... |
