Like a bottle or sippy because if it 's a bottle than say " Guess what your a big boy right? Did you know that bottles are for baby 's. Your not a baby are you? No so lets give our bottle to a baby. And than put all the bottles in the a walmart bag and have him throw them away or actually give them to a baby!! Than say because your such a big boy you get a new kind of cup and give him a sippy!! LOL so much fun!! Now if its a sippy your trying to get rid of I think he or she is still to young maybe next year !!

We would just start holding a glass cup (like a normal cup) to my cousins lips and help them drink from it whenever they wanted something to drink eventually they got the hang of it .. :)

Take out the insert in the baby cup and only put just a little bit of juice or water or only put water in the baby cup at all times when your child ask for juice but it in a small kids cup with favorite cartoon

If your ok with it Im going to use the experience with our kid as an example. She had just turned 2 and was going thru sippy cups like crazy. So we took the lid off her sippy and gave her 1 in oc liquid to start then back to regular sippy cup, then big girl cup, and so on for about a month, she took to it so fast she is using a 2 handeled big girl cup perfectly. Shes 3 now and is completely off the 2 handeled cups and on to big girl princess cups in her fav charcaters. Good luck, just patience and alot of paper towels..lol

Teach him how to use a straw.

Find out who is giving them the baby cup and make them stop. The won 't learn how to use anything else if people keep sneaking the baby cup behind your back.

Buy one with a straw. It doesn 't take them long to learn to drink from a straw, and it is a great transition cup. After they have mastered the cup with a straw, then you can move on to a regular cup. This worked for all 4 of my kids....they were drinking from a straw at 1 & a cup by 1 1/ 2...so, the transition wasn 't that long. Good luck!

Have the 2 year old throw them in the trash - then he/ she knows they are gone and they MUST drink from something else.

Maybe a transition to small water bottle or juice box might not be so harsh, then cups.
