Regular tea is a no-no. Although I don 't get what someone said earlier about baby juice being ok but not tea cuz it was full of sugar?!? What do you think baby juice is full of? Natural or refined, it 's still sugar. Hot tea doesn 't have sugar in it unless you put it in.... anyway... Chamomile tea is ok for babies and young children , it is even used as a remedy for teething. It just needs to be a weak brew. Rose hip tea is another one that I think is ok. Both of these are naturally caffiene free. Chamomile is also good for digestion/ gas/ upset tummies. dkmommyspot.com/ chamomile-babys-little-wonder-herb/

Well you can get caffeine free tea, I think, but I 'd stick to milk for a while, to be honest!

A six month old needs absolutely no tea. Its a diuretic for starters- it causes dehydration. beyond that, its hard enough to get all their nurtients in them in one day, wasting stomach space on a bottle of tea is asinine.

My kids loved a little sip of tea too but to put it in a bottle is crazy. babies at 6 months should just be drinking milk and water. The caffeine is no good. But caffeine free woudl be worse.

My children had tea when they were quite a little older,However if you take sugar that is also a problem for one so young.I wouldnt recommend it but if he loes it sooo much, perhaps a decaf tea and a substitute for the sugar? xx

Hi it 's not a good idea to give him tea with caffeine, not even a little bit. Remember that even most green and white teas hold caffeine as well. It 's not good for him and will easily disrupt his sleep too. A no-caffeine herbal tea should be ok, do check with your pharmacist to make sure it doesn 't contain any herb or spice he shouldn 't have.

Baby + Tea = not a good thing. Your 6 month old 's digestive system is still not ready for tea, especially tea with caffeine. Stick to milk and water. If you want to give your little one something different, give him baby juice but stay away from the tea! Even caffeine free because they have extra sugar still.

I won 't give tea to a 6 month old. I would just keep giving milk only. I would introduce new drinks after the first birthday. Also, I wouldn 't give anything with caffeine because it is zero calories and diet things are not good for anyone. When that time comes you could give milk, water or juice.

I 've never heard anything so silly in all my life. Of course it is not ok to give caffeine infested tea to a baby! He may be on solids but does that mean you lade his food with salt and sugar? No. Well what gives you the slightest idea that it would be ok to give him tea! Tea contaions caffeine which is bad for the heart and can cause problems. It also dehydrates you and a baby can so easily become dehydrated anyway without that. Stop with the tea now hun, before you do your baby some harm! 2 oz may not seem like much but for a baby it 's like having a giant mug of the stuff!
