A accantience of mine was able to get baby furniture for her newborn from a government program. I have a four month old, poorer than dirt, my husband got laid off and she refuses to tell how she did it. If anyone out there knows what how she did it could really help my baby. She can't sleep in a bassinett forever.

Davinci baby furniture - if you purchase the oak finish in from 2 different sets the color should be similar?
My husband and I are looking at buying our nursery furniture for our little one due in September soon. We like the Parker bed, but the Kalani combo dresser. We want to get the oak finish and although wood accepts stains differently, I wanted to verify they use similar enough woods and stains that it wouldn't look like a mis matched set. Has anyone else done this with the Davinci sets?
I need some opinions on baby furniture?
My daughter is almost 2 years old and will be moving into a toddler bed next month. We are trying for our second child, but are not pregnant yet. I sold her changing table after she potty trained because we did not like it and decided we would buy a new one for the next baby. She is keeping her dresser so all we have left from the nursery furniture is the crib. The crib is Graco brand but very plain looking and not as solid as most because her first one broke while moving so we just bought whatever they currently had at the store so she had a bed to sleep in. Now that she is no longer going to be using it I can't decide if we should sell it and buy all new matching nursery furniture for our next child and plan to use it for any children we have after that or just buy furniture to match the crib we have and use the same crib for our next child. I would really like a more classy, sturdy looking crib but the one we have is only about a year old and has held up fine with my daughter.What do you think? My husband would like to use the crib we already have and I feel like it would be nice to have a sturdy and matching set and then use it for any other children we have.I guess I should also add we are planning to move out of state in about 3 years so would need to consider selling the furniture or moving it with us. My thought is if we use the same crib we would sell it, if we buy a new set we would move it with us.What would your opinion be?She is already using the crib as a toddler bed, but we bought an actually toddler bed for her birthday so she will be using that instead after next month. The options were to re use the crib she has and sell it after baby 2 has outgrown it or buy new furniture before 2 is born and use it for all of the remainder of our children..

Baby furniture from JC Penny - any reviews?
I have ordered what I want for baby furniture from JC Penny but may have a glitch bringing the set back to Canada, mainly the crib. First of all, any Canadian moms buy a crib across the border and have any issues getting it into Canada?? Also, anyone in general who has purchased furniture, how have you found it? Good quality? Easy set up? Safe?? Health Canada made it sound like American moms are reckless yokels who put their babies at risk by purchasing substandard equipment. I informed her recalls have taken place in the USA AND Canada and were primarily on the drop side crib which mine is not . Still she tried to make me feel like the worst mom to be for purchasing a crib from the USA. I can not find a set like this in Canada and the only thing even similar was literally double the price Anyone have any issues with JC Penny baby furniture??
