Would this be a baby gift you'd appreciate?
So some friend& 039 s of ours are having a baby soon. They have just about everything they need. The only things they still need are a swing, some plain onesies, and a thermometer. The swing is pretty much out of our price range. White onesies are boring, necessary as they are. A thermometer is necessary, but it& 039 s not even something they mentioned until I asked if they had one. I know with this being their first baby, one would definitely come in handy. I just purchased a thermometer for our home, it& 039 s an infrared forehead thermometer. It& 039 s really handy. It doesn& 039 t have to have the little caps like the digital ear thermometers...there is nothing to replace. It doesn& 039 t transfer germs, you only touch the forehead. It can be used for the whole family. It& 039 s also one of the most accurate you can buy so they claim anyway . So far, I love mine I& 039 m using it daily to help with telling when I& 039 m ovulating . It& 039 s a $50 thermometer. That& 039 s definitely expensive, but I think it& 039 s worth it. So if I got one for them as a baby gift, do you think they& 039 d like it? I don& 039 t want them to think I was being cheap, or that I didn& 039 t put any thought into it. So what do you think? Second baby gift ideas for a co-worker?
My co worker is having her second baby in a few weeks. I started to build a basket to give to her. The rest of our department is guys and not very close to her. Since I& 039 m the only other person she talks to at work, I felt I should get her something for her second baby. I picked up a few outfits and had a bib made from a local t shirt maker.She is very anal and specific about what she likes. Super germaphobe. She is super organized and already had many of the items for this baby a girl. her first was a boy . Every time I would get ready to go buy some things, she would be like, " last night I picked up all these things for the baby diapers, binky clips, bibs, diaper genie replacements, etc .I don& 039 t know what else I can put in this basket that she doesn& 039 t already have. Any ideas?
Best winter baby gift?
I am invited to a shower for a baby that& 039 s due in January 2012. Mom& 039 s registry has sheets and onesies on it and that& 039 s it all fine and dandy but I wanted to get her something useful and appropriate and a bit more substantial. I don& 039 t have kids. Whats a good baby gift for my bestfriend?
My best friend of 9 years is having a baby. She doesnt know what it is yet. I was wondering on good gift ideas to get her. I dont want to get her something lame, i wanted to get her something she will really love and need. Maybe something sentimental? What should I get my friend for her baby gift?
The registry is very long, and mixed with so many different things. I& 039 m torn between getting her one larger gift, or a few smaller ones. I think it& 039 s more fun to get a few smaller gifts, but I want to get her useful things. I& 039 m not spending too much because I already made her a diaper cake, and I& 039 m for sure buying a cute baby outfit. So, I& 039 m thinking another 25 30 dollars. She didn& 039 t get me much for my baby gift either, so I don& 039 t want to go overboard.I was thinking of either.. baby bath tub with a tub of soap, and maybe a few bath toys. or musical seahorse, children& 039 s book, and a set of receiving blankets
Idea's for baby gift thank you words?
I& 039 m doing my thank you notes for all our baby presents, I& 039 ve got a photo with her name, dob, weight and length and I& 039 m putting a pink cardboard on the back with a copy of her footprint on it then I want to put some sort of generic message on them all and then write something personal underneath but I don& 039 t like any of the ones I& 039 ve found online so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

Would a diaper bag be an appropriate new baby gift?
I am the god mother of a baby girl due this summer and am stumped what to get my best friend as a gift. She lives in an area the shopping is not that great so I was wondering if a coach diaper bag would be a good gift? I live in a place with an outlet that I can probably find one for under $150. Or should the gift be more directed at the baby... like onesies, clothes, etc. Thanks

Is it rude to send back baby gifts?
OK, not as it sounds, lol DH and I had our children years before our siblings started their families. Over the years I have kept the items that they have gifted to my children thinking that someday I would give those items back for their kids to enjoy. My sister loves that I do this, DH sister is OK with it but doesn& 039 t really want the extra clutter so I ask before sending stuff to her. So DH brother just had a baby and I sent him a sweet note with a baby toddler book he sent to my kids. BIL, I guess, was offended by it. IDK, maybe he thought my kids should treasure this book forever or something but it was basically a ABC from his alma mater. Like A is for alumi at Whatever Hall... B is for Hornets Basketball, etc. OK whatever but we don& 039 t even live in that state. But that isn& 039 t the point.... do you think he is being overly sensitive or is it rude that I send this things back to them. If it matters it WAS NOT their baby gift. We of course bought them a nice gift.

I& 039 m 15 weeks pregnant, and a few people have asked when my husband and I will register for gifts. When is the typical time to do this? We don& 039 t find out the sex for another 4 weeks, but perhaps we could start registering now, and then add more gender specific items later?Also, WHAT items are good to register for? Anything that you wish you would have registered for? Thanks

Hi everyone My little sister had a baby girl last night YAY I& 039 m an aunty again and we are going over in 2 weeks to visit. I will be bringing all the christmas presents for family that live up where she does and wanted something for baby.
