Question: Creative baby gift for mom-to-be, bath-time essentials - any suggestions?

So I finally finished the Star Wars themed diaper cake for my husband& #039;s friend, and of course, the very day I finished that baby shower gift, I get an invitation for another friend& #039;s baby shower! It really never ends, lol! So I was thinking for this person I would start off with a baby bath tub, then I could line the tub with a towel. I& #039;d bulid a small diaper cake (2- 3 tiers) on the inside of tub. And I& #039;d like to decorate the inside of the tub and the diaper cake with bath toys and bath essential items (soap, shampoo, lotion, washcloths, etc..) If anyone could supply links to uique baby bath items, fun bath toys, or really any suggestions for a bath- time themed shower gift would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of using something like this for the tub: http:/ / www.walmart.com/ catalog/ product.do?product_id=2403317 I& #039;d inflate the tub and then the small diaper cake would go where the baby in the picture is, from there I just need ideas for which bath time essential items to include, unique toys and things of that nature. - Thanks everyone |

It 's not bath themed, but the 'happy baby food mill ' was the best (most useful) present I ever received at my shower. Even if you don 't give it, suggest it to someone else. |

You can get really cute baby towels my mom got when she had my brother. It 's yellow and has a duck on the hood, soo cute! Babys r us has a lot of nice stuff! |

They bath sections in most stores -- babies r us has a whole bath aisle. you could get a hooded towel, some wash cloths, baby shampoo, and whatever bath toys there are...there 's a billion different kinds and they 're all the same. you should look for a faucet cover too so they don 't bonk their head on the faucet when they grow out of the tub. |

I love the little hoodie towels. They also sell these little disposable washclothes that already have soap in them, which are great for traveling. I used to get mine at the grocery store in the baby bath section. P.S. I bought a baby tub with a removable hammock in it; this is perfect for when the baby is too young to sit up without help. |

Aside from "bath time " thing, it is also good to give stuff for babies like bouncers or maybe wall decoration for nursery and such... |

Faucet cover, bath thermometer, a little cup for rinsing baby, bath markers, rubber ducks, a robe, baby bubble bath, head to toe soap and moisturizer. Go for unscented soap and moisturizer, it 's safer just in case her baby has sensitive skin. Hooded towels are good, but get some huge ones... Babies grow out of most hooded towels very quickly. |
