Question: How is my baby gift basket coming along?
(Posted by: Ello on 2010-04-09 23:39:55)
My friend is due next month and I been gathering stuff over the weeks to make a gift basket for her daughter that is on her way. Can you give me some opinions, other things I might want to buy for it, and some decorating tips. So far here are some of the things I got: - 5 bodysuit pack - Baby wipes - A pack of two pacifiers - A box of two bottles - A soft baby blanket - A duck w/ hood bath towel Here are some pictures http:/ / i842.photobucket.com/ albums/ zz349/ MusicLovePiano/ mms_picture2.jpg http:/ / s842.photobucket.com/ albums/ zz349/ MusicLovePiano/ ?action=view& amp;current=mms_picture.jpg Sorry for the quality, I used my camera on my phone and the flash wasn& #039;t working. |

I just received a really cool gift basket from a friend. She decorated it with pink ribbon and little pink plastic pacifiers she got from a crafts store, they usually sell them as table "confetti " It was super cute. You should be able to get it in blue or neutral if you don 't know what your friend is having. Other good gift basket items.... powder, no tears baby shampoo, an infant rattle (wrist rattle maybe), baby lotion, baby nail clippers, baby oil, baby q tips, teether, book for baby, burp cloths, bibs, little mittens, socks... you might want to check her registry too, I put a lot of little things on mine so people wouldn 't feel like they had to get big stuff... |

Ha ha wow its cool very exctiting making them baskets hehe I would recommend you make it look abit more exciting. Oh and make sure you make a card and to do that i suggest you got to a scrap booking lesson they are very helpful and thats how i made my card. Also i think that some fluro items would look great in there two. Otherwise well done its hard shopping for them who arnt born yet! Awesome selection of things not only for the bub but for you friend that will save her alot of time and money buyin nappys and baby wipes xo Add more toys to :D |

That 's awesome! These were my favorite gifts!! Are you giving her that basket that was in that first picture? If yes, that 's perfect because she can put diapers and wipes in it next to her changing station. It no, you could get a bath bin and stick all the presents inside and wrap it with that plastic gift wrap stuff. Some more inexpesive things you could add if you want to give more - Diapers (My favorite brand so far are Luvs, Huggies leaked really bad for us and I 've heard the same thing on here) Handprints/ Footprint kit (from Target or WalMart $15) Some wash stuff (I got little Johnsons and Johnsons kit that had shampoo, bodywash, desitin, lotion, etc) What you got is awesome! Even if you gave what you have now to her, it would a lot!! You sound like an awesome friend!! |

Well I 'm not sure how much you want to spend, but it would be cool to get one of the moses baskets and put it all in that. You would have enough room to include a small pack of diapers as well then. This would make the actual basket useful as well! My mother in law got a baby bathtub and put a bunch of stuff in it for me for the baby shower. That was nice as well and would probably be a bit cheaper. Some ideas for other items to include would be burp clothes(used a lot of those!), receiving blankets, booties, hats, baby lotion, or wash clothes. It 's very nice that you are doing this for your friend. I 'm sure no matter how you put it together she is going to appreciate it a ton! |

The other ladies pretty much have it covered! I would recommend adding booties/ socks, hats, lotion and or shampoo, and maybe a small pack of diapers in either newborn size or size 1! Otherwise, it looks like you have it covered! What an amazing idea!! Ooh! One more thing! A binky clip would be most helpful so if the baby drops the binky it is found easier! |
