Baby Hat

Question: How would you market specialized homemade baby hats, baby bows, tutus etc.?

Have found a new hobby.....making unique baby hat embellishments, baby bows, tutus etc. There is definitely a lot of competition...and I& #039;ve never done anything like this before...but I& #039;d love to know what you think. I eventually want to get into candid children& #039;s photography and have been a nanny/ caretaker for many years...have a lot of new mom acquaintances but never have considered myself a & #039;sales person& #039;...which of course I know you have to be. Where to start? Ideas..input...? Thank you so much.

Well that 's awesome to have a hobby like that. Here are my ideas: Go to craft fairs and get your name and your product out there. Have your friends hold home parties or hold one yourself for anybody you know who would be interested in buying. Build yourself a free website. Office live is pretty easy and may help get the word out. Hold a sale at your house. Kinda like a garage sale but just selling your goods. Creating flyers and put them up in grocery stores or any place they will let you hang them. I hope this helps to give you some ideas. Good luck!

I make tutus too but I don 't sell them. I would check out getting a table at a mom2mom sale or something like that. Then you can display your items for sale and provide cards with your contact info for people to order them. You can also post on sites like Kijiji too.
