I never think it 's to early. it depends on if you wanna know the sex or not but if you dont want to know then stick to natural colors. but now that i have my baby i would def. tell you to stock up on diapers big tie. i had three huge boxes of diapers nd they lasted me till i went back to work at 2 and a half months and i still ended up buying some. dont buy the newborn diapers untill the baby gets here though and once you know how much he ways then you can decide on if you need newborns or stage ones. Plenty of bibs for sure. my baby is 3 months old and he drools alot. and sometimes he spits-up alot to so instead of you having to change clothes all the time you can just let the bib catch it. and plenty of oneis. they are great. the baby wont really be going out to much so keep it simple. i buy outfits for when we go out to the granparents house or taking pictures. we barly go out bc my man works graveyard and i work during the day. dont stress about what kind of bottle you want. i wanted to breastfeed and the stupid nurse gave my baby a bottle and paci(which he dosent even care for now.he waened his self. he like to chew on his hands and wrist.)if youdo decide to breast feed and pump buy the medela pump it is one of the best out there and it is a waste of mony to rent one bc the cost of renting one for 6 monhs is the price of one. DONT BUY A USED PUMP EVER. the pump could be contaminated and give your baby a diease or something. Dont worry about having too many blankets. i have way too many. i have a few nice thick ones and strechie ones that i use all the time. the strechie ones are good to swaddle your baby in ( very good for night time or when you wanna get the baby to sleep bc they feel safe all buddled up like there in the womb.) buy socks but not too small bc they grow so fast and buy hats but not too many. I bought a lot of soothing cd 's for the baby to listen to to help him calm down beofre bed time. Well i have to go but if you ever want to kow anything else you e-mail me : Jadegem_2002@yahoo.com baby-gaga.com is a great website. and one of the best sites out there for women and there is tons of advice from real moms on there. way better then yahoo.

I refused to rely on the scan for making big purchases because sometimes they get it wrong,i bought some smaller priced boy/ girl items from around that time though.

There is ALWAYS a chance of miscarriage, in all women all ages, all health ranges. You shouldn 't buy baby stuff before 3 months. At that point you can get gender neuteral stuff. You should wait til you 're 20 weeks though so you can buy your little one pink or blue outfits and stuff like that. Whether the room will be baseballs and footballs, or ballerinas and princesses.

Hi, well im very excited my self an im still TTC!! Id say too soon is when your not even 3months as of the risks. But once them 3months are over then go for it!! But if theres no sign of risks, an is nothing in the family to be worried of id start now! Ive already been choosing things for my nursery, just need to get pregnant now! GL to you both :) xxx

I think I am doing exactly that, haaha. I 'm about 7 weeks but have bought formula, diapers, pink, blue and yellow things for the nursery..I 'm starting to realize just how expensive it 's becoming, so I think I 'll wait a bit (around the 20 week mark) to make sure of it 's gender and then go ahead witht the buying. I think it 's best to wait till then (unless you want a nuetral toned nursery) to pick out the boy and girl specifics. It 's fun no matter what though.

Some people don 't like to "jinx " their pregnancies until they have started their second trimester. I started sometime in my second trimester with my two girls, but I still don 't have a nursery with this one and I 'm 37weeks. *LOL* Its up to you. If you want a gender neutral nursery you can do it whenever you want. If you want gender specific you are going to have to wait until around 18-20 weeks (thats IF they are cooperative). It gets harder the larger your belly gets, to rearrange things.

It is too soon to buy things and decorate the nursery in the first trimester for sure. Other than that, buying small items like sleepers is good for expecting mothers. It 's called nesting. Just don 't go too crazy too soon. As for decorating the nursery, that 's an important part of putting the pregnant mind at ease. I painted mine and stuff in the second trimester to make sure the paint fumes and chemicals were long gone for baby 's arrival.

I lost my last pregnancy at 21 weeks and having the baby stuff around made everything worse. I am 22 weeks pregnant now and its a high risk pregnancy. I don 't want to buy anything yet.

I don 't think there 's a right or wrong time, I think you do what 's right for you. What I did is I spent the first trimester doing the leg work, researching different brands, learning about BPA, why cot bumper 's can be dangerous & figuring out my list of wants including brands, prices etc. That way in my second trimester I could break my list up into affordable chunks & just head to the store & grab what I wanted & I could spread it out over the weeks & months so I wasn 't paying for everything at once. Also keep in mind some furniture can take quite some time to be ordered in. Doing it this way you can also keep an eye out for sales & not impulse buy if you stick to your list. I 'm now 30weeks & by tomorrow I 'll have finished buying & setting up everything I need which is how I planned it as I wanted everything completed by 30weeks so I could rest & relax for the final & most uncomfortable 10weeks when I knew I wouldn 't want to be on my feet for very long if I could help it. As for decorating your nursery I 'd say too soon is prior to 12weeks but again that 's personal opinion. Enjoy!

Hey hun! I would wait to buy things and start planning your nursery till you find out what your having. For 2 reasons! 1 so that you can have it either for a boy or a girl. 2. you will be well out of the first trimester! I think if you start getting things together after your anatomy scan and putting them in the nursery is a good idea. I wouldn 't set it up until after your 3rd trimester starts b/ c looking at an empy nursery for month on end is going to drive you crazy and make the wait even longer!!!! Its so hard for me 2! I jsut want to put everything together and get the ball rolling! But instead I am just going to enjoy pregnancy and pick things up here and there! Ohhh and I found out I am having a baby girl at 15.5 weeks!! Technology these days makes it easier to find out early! GOOD LUCK HUN!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
