Baby Items

Question: Should i buy preemie baby items just in case?

It doesn 't hurt to buy them. Keep them in package in the store bag and if you don 't need them, return them. Really though if you have a preemie your baby will likely be in the hospital for awhile so you will have time to go shop after birth.

Might not hurt to buy a couple of preemie outfits, but keep the tags on them and the receipts just in case....

I would but keep the tags on and receipts. I had 3 full term kids (individually) and all 3 needed preemie diapers and clothes. My first was born at 4lbs 13oz 17 1/ 2in long (girl). My 2nd was born at 5lbs 13oz 18 1/ 2in long (boy). And my 3rd was born at 3lbs 13oz and 17in long (girl). All of my babies were full term, 1rst 38 wks, 2nd 41wks, 3rd 38wks. They were in preemie clothes until about 2 - 3 months mostly depend on the style and brand of clothing. I am pregnant with #4 - 7wks 4d, sex not known yet(obviously), but I have already bought 2 pks of preemie diapers and 1 pk white preemie onesies and 1 green print preemie onesie. P.S. If they dont need the preemie clothes or diapers, then they are unopened and tags still on with receipt, you will get your money back. Hope this helps! Good Luck and Congrats!

Yes buy a few bits but keep your receipts so should you go past that time you can then swap them for the next size up. There are various sized preemie clothes too. Don 't bother buying anything fancy. All your babies need is comfy baby grows that are easy to get on and off their little bodies and keep them warm. Hats are a must for preemies. If your babies do come early they will sleep for much of the time while they continue to grow. Normally the neonatal units have plenty of items to borrow if you get caught out. Keep resting and hydrated and get your babies as far as possible. Best wishes.

I wouldnt go all out buying these things yes indeed buy a handful of clothes cause even 6lbs can fit into 00000 i have brought a few but not going over borad ,Just take it how it comes ,If they are born early they will be in hospital for awhile and you will have time for someone to go get them what they need ,Good luck fingers crossed you make it to 36 weeks
