If you sent your so to the store for baby items would he know what to get?

Question: If you sent your so to the store for baby items would he know what to get?

(Posted by: Wyatt's mama on 2009-06-22 10:44:24)

Lastnight I sent my SO to the store for formula. He came back with gentle ease formula. I said & quot;Honey, he doesn& #039;t need gentle ease.& quot; and he said & quot;Well you didn& #039;t tell me what kind to get!!& quot;.. Although my son hasn& #039;t been on formula for very long it still seems as though he would know what kind to get seeing as how he makes bottles too.. Any similar stories?

Yeah my hubby would know what to get. He has his ditzy moments sometimes. But then again sometimes he remembers more then me. If anything- he spends more money on stuff when I am like...umm Chris.. you could have gotten this brand and gotten it cheaper :P

Lol no, he 'd have no clue. Best bet when sending hubby to store is to give him the empty container so he can compare, or just send him a pic on his cell. Without the visual, men are useless at shopping!

Lol it seems like guys are less in tune with what we need for babies..lol

Yea men dont always pay attention to stuff like that. I learned that with my brothers pefore I had kids. You have to save a label or can and ask them to get that brand that looks like that. or you will get what they buy. lol

I 'm actually pretty lucky. If I sent my hubby to the store he would know what to get now for one reason only. His mother. She taught him the hard way that if your sent to the store for something, make sure you know EXACTLY what it is your getting. He has brought packaging from diapers, empty baby wash bottles, old suckies into Wal-Mart to make sure that he does not have to go back. Also, he will ask for help when he can 't find something, as well as a list if the package isn 't available. lol.

I don 't send my hubby for anything mainly b/ c we live so far from town...its just simpler for me to go get what I need b/ c he always comes home with the wrong thing... I didn 't feel too good one day and instead of bringing home like flavored water or OJ or some other juice or something like that, he brought a soda home for me...really not good since I wasn 't feeling too good and it was seriously HOT outside...

My husband would have no idea. I would spend an hour on the phone with him while he walked around just trying to find the baby section lol. He also makes bottles and is always moving around the big case of diapers but I doubt hes ever noticed the brand or size lol. Good question!

I would probably be the one to get the wrong thing, my husband does all of our shopping hahah.

Nope! I have to write him a list like this: Diapers size 6 Luvs (ONLY) milk-skim, not anything else Green beans- Del monte- they are about halfway down the isle, on the bottom shelf Chances are he 's going to get one of those wrong. One time he went to the store over the course of a month looking for one particular item that I asked for. He swore he couldn 't find it. He even called me from the isle in the store and still couldn 't find it! The next time we went together I showed him right where it was, to my directions to the t! He couldn 't believe it. He knows right where it is now! :)

It depends on my husband 's day...sometimes he knows exactly what to get...and other times, completely clueless. But one good thing is this, if he isn 't sure, he asks me!

My husband would ask me 5 times before buying anything. It can get annoying! He asks me everything and rarely makes a decision on his own! I sometimes feel like I have 2 children! At least I know he does it "right ". hehehehe

Lol for some reason my husband has the hardest time with butter. He never knows whether to get unsalted or salted. The good thing is, he knows to call me and not just guess. The last time he did that I made him go back. I always tell him, "You have a cell, there 's no excuse for bringing home the wrong thing if you aren 't sure " Other times, he 'll just be totally oblivious, and tell me they don 't have something that I know they do.

With formula he knows.. just because Liam 's on a specialty but diapers I have to describe the box every time.. but he 's really good at picking stuff up at the store. But really he hates doing it so he will stay at home & I 'll go if we don 't want to take Liam along for those quick trips.

My daughter 's father has no clue. He knows she is 4 months but still calls and asks what size clothes to get her. He doesn 't ask about diapers or anything and I breastfeed so no formula.

My husband 's usually pretty good about that kind of stuff. We run out a lot, and I send him to the store to pick up diapers and wipes quite frequently. Most of the time I give him a coupon to use, so there 's no problem for him to figure out what to get.

I sent my hubby to get baby food and he came back with all fruits and no vegetables. Lol. It was cute.

Posted by: Juanita on 2009-06-22, 11:19:16

He would know, but I like to go to the store so I can get a break from the kids.

Posted by: Evie's mummy =] on 2009-06-22, 11:23:34

He 'd have no idea. I once sent him for some Huggies size 3 nappies and he came back with Pampers size 5.

Posted by: jen on 2009-06-22, 11:24:59

He would on some items and wouldn 't on others, I think.

Posted by: Coltens Mama on 2009-06-22, 11:28:13

Yeah I 'm pretty lucky in that aspect. Actually, I tend to be the ditzy one. I 'm a very forgetful person, I will go to the store with exactly what I need to get in mind, walk in the store and completely forget. I will get home and not have anything I needed. I 'm getting better :P
