I can not live without a baby swing and baby jumper/ bouncer..they were my life savers

Bouncy swing....the one that hangs on the door frame and excersauser. I would prop my baby up with towels to hold her up and let her bounce and play.....that 's the ONLY way I was able to take a shower. She also LOVED to look at herself in mirrors. If you have one that can stand or prop on the floor (a small one that you use to do make up or hair) she would giggle and babble at it!

Apart from diapers and wipes my absolute favorites were Boppy pillow, bulb syringe, Eucerin lotion, musical toys and sprout channel in tv:-)

Hi, My son loved soft cloth blocks during this age range. There are some really neat ones from Baby Einstein, colorful and vivid. Anything that they can chew on is great as well, since teething usually starts at this point. Cloth books were another one of his favorites. Oh and like always.....rings to chew on! Lol, he loved them. Good luck!

I bought a ball pit a toys r us. My little girl loves it. She gets a kick out of it when I sit in it too

Paci. I am a dedicated breastfeeder, but sometimes, you just need a break, or you can 't always sit down right away. And sometimes they just want to suck but not eat. Pacis are a lifesaver. I always had luck with the Nuk orthodontic ones. They never interfered with good latch technique.

Http:/ / toysrus.com/ product/ index.jsp?productId= 3104466 &CAWELAID= 209796217 Had to have this to put her to sleep each night and nap. The glowworm only plays one song at a time, but this stays lit for about 15 minutes or so... She still plays with it at a year old! lullabylane.com/ buy/ 3/ 98/ 2708/ Mocha-Baby-Papasan-Bouncer/ M6561-1354.aspx EDIT_ The poster above me said a pacifier... How could I forget about that binky that I have searched high and low for when it was out of sight??? Still a neccesity for my little one (she wanted to suck her thumb, and from family exeperience I know that you can not take a thumb away from a child--- my cousin is 21 and still sucks her thumb, so we went with a binky) Nuks are the very best!

A jumper or exersaucer -- both would keep yours entertained (when they can hold their head up) long enough for you to take a shower or get dinner ready or clean up quickly. my 10 month old really likes his leapfrog learn and groove table. when he 's doing something he 's not supposed to, it usually works (works better than anything else really) to redirect him to his table. as soon as yours can pull up onto furniture I 'd recommend it. he 's been using it for a good 4 months now and plays with it several times a day. he has this too and he loves it: toyshelf.com/ cgi-bin/ category.cgi?item= TL-00580 &source= feeds &kw= Froogle2 he also likes balls; they make some with little nubs on them and he likes chewing on them and throwing them. I also like our chicco hook on high chair so we can take it out when we travel and I like our car seat bunting because my son refuses to wear a coat.

Swing, play gym mat (tiny love lights and music gymini), stationary jumper with lights and music (baby einstein), play pen.....my son plays and entertains himself alot with these items which is wonderful when i need to clean and cook! happy holidays
