Question: Fun baby items question?

So i want to know what baby items/ gear you guys have or have seen that arent a total necessity whatsoever but would still be nice to have (like a bottle warmer or diaper genie, etc.) what do you guys think

Diaper genie, crib projectors (the ones that play music are soothing for babies), closet organizer tags (to group clothes by size, they 're little plastic hanger things), and a white noise machine to name a few. Honestly... I 've found bottle warmers to be more of a pain then they 're worth lol.

The best thing that I got that I didn 't think would be a necessity (but turned out to be) was a changing table. It just made my life so much easier! (Plus - was able to use it with all 4 kids!)

Sophie the Giraffe and a catchy ball... The ones that look like ball skeletons, so they are easy to hold and catch. I find that a blanket on the floor with some good fun toys like those and wooden blocks is WAY more fun for my daughter than her gym thingie. OH our wrap carrier, HANDS DOWN!

Babywipe warmers are lame. I promise. A night light is awesome awesome awesome. It helps the baby see the difference between day and night even during those middle of the night diaper changes. Two baby CDs that I love are "Lullaby " (lullabies from around the world) and "Chicken Soup for Little Souls ". Music that helps you rock your baby and sing songs is probably a must that is easy to overlook. We make our own baby wipes. A head nurse told us that the recipe and said they will help prevent diaper rashes. Take a paper towel roll and cut it in half. Mix 2 cups warm water, 1 tablespoon Johnson Johnson baby oil and 1 tablespoon Johnson Johnson shampoo. Pour over one half of the paper towel roll. (Save the other half for later.) To find the perfect container we went to Bed Bath and Beyond and compared the size of the paper towel roll to various containers they sold. The head nurse said you could use any cylindrical tin or plastic container. The wipes are so much nicer than store bought and is our favorite baby care tip.

Its funny how everyone likes and dislikes things. Like the woman who said she loved her changing table, OMG i HATED mine! I sold it when my daughter was 4 months old! it was a WASTE of money. I just put a waterproof pad underneath her, and plan to do the same with my son. Now I LOVE my Boppy breastfeeding pillow. I have some weird attachment to it. I sold all my daughters stuff except the pillow LOL. and the Bumbo seat is awesome! My daughter loved it! and same with doorway jumpers, those always kept my daughter occupied for awhile.

Uddercovers.com They 're cute and functional. Makes nursing in public easier. But not needed. They 've usually got coupon codes to get them for free (you just pay shipping). And there are steamer bags for the microwave to sanitize bottles and pacifiers. I have a wipe warmer. Never used it for either of my kids, but man it sounded neat lol!! Also link-a-do 's (I think I spelled it right) They can connect toys to just about anything. Great for when babies reach the "tossing for fun " stage. There are also teether pacifiers. One in particular called a Raspberry, it;s all nubby like the fruit and part looks like the leaves and the handle looks like the vine. Very cute and fun for babies when they start to teeth. More fun for mommy though cause they 're just so cute!!

I have a nappy stacker ( diaper stacker) I do 'nt actually use it. but in theory, it is meant to make everything look nice and tidy :) I 'd love to have a diaper genie, but decided against it :) x

One fun baby item I go this time around was an Itzbeen. I love it! It 's a small handheld set of timers. It has specific timers for feeding, diaper changes and sleeping and an extra timer for whatever (I use it for pumping. This way you know how long it 's been since the last time you changed, feed, ect... I particularly love it in the sense that my husband used to always say baby 's crying, she must be hungry. Now I can show him the Itzbeen and he can see it 's only been 45 mins since she ate lol In the states you can order it from Walmart.com but I got mine at a specialty store in Canada.

I had a baby changers organizer thing and it did not work it was annoying...the crib bedding (whats the point besides making it look nice..my son never used it the comforter or anything just his own blankets).....a bassinet that my son only fitted for the first 3mths (borrow if you can)..a swing going to hand down to my sister-n-law pointless to buy...them tummy time equipments none are worth the money, my son never liked any of them....a wipee warmer would be great to have when it is winter and you dont want to use the cold wipee on their bottom...
