Question: When do you start buying baby items?

Small stuff such as onsies, bottles and etc...Even if you don& #039;t know the sex of the baby yet, there are neutral things you can get.

I was so excited that I started buying stuff right away LOL If this is your first baby and you are having a shower, you will get a lot of the things that you need then, but there is nothing wrong with starting to pick up things here and there as you can afford it...Enjoy!

I started the day I found out! i was 8 weeks pregnant I got all the simple things & stocked up on diapers and wipes. I 'm due on may 23rd 2010 and the only thing left for me to buy are a little bit of clothes. I did not buy a crib stroller & playpen yet because my sister & law is giving me hers! It all depends on the person but me i want nothing to worry about so i got it over and done with already. before I found out the sex I bought nuetral clothes, blankets, bath tiem stuff, a bouncer, a jumper, a bassinet, containers to put all the toys i bought in, a carseat, high chair, a monitor, stuff for the crib ( bumper, music etc), photo albums & small stuff. believe it or not you can go buy everythign your child will need besides clotehs before you find out the sex! I did.

I waited until I was 20 weeks so I had less time to spend money! It was also nice because than I knew what sex we were having and I didn 't end up buying all neutral clothes. I knew once I started baby shopping I wouldn 't be able to stop so I controlled myself as long as I could! mom to a 17month old and 5w2d pregnant with #2

I waited until about 20 weeks, so i knew the gender and we were past the miscarrige risk

I started after my first doctors visit...had to get real confirmation, lol. So about 12 weeks. Usually you will get bottles and a lot of that little stuff at your baby shower though, so I would stick with clothes for now until after your shower. Good luck!

I started buying at 15 weeks pregnant neutral stuff I was terrified to buy early was scared something would happen.. Once I found out what I was having I went CRAZY... There are plenty of Neutral stuff you can get because sometimes babys wont show there parts on ultrasounds1

Whenever you feel is the right time. I just started picking up the small things. If this is your first you will have a baby shower and get alot of stuff then. Good luck= ]

Ive had 4 children and with two of them i bought stuff after my first trimester...they say that if youre going to miscarry its USUALLY in the first trimester..but you can start as soon as you want to . :) Good luck!

The couple i had Lola for did not start buying until after the 20 week scan as they were worried about something going wrong and they also wanted to know the sex of the baby before they start buying stuff

I had a baby shower at 6 months pregnant (because I was home for the holidays), and I waited to buy anything until after the baby shower just because I didn 't know what people would buy me. Yes, I had a registry, but people still bought stuff off of the registry. Also, I would wait til you know the sex. We did not know and we got a lot of yellow and green and orange stuff. It turns out we are having a boy so it was okay, but if I was having a girl, I really would want pink stuff.
