Question: Where can i find cheap baby items?

(Posted by: Bumble Bee Loves Her Honey ♥ on 2010-01-27 12:31:48)

I have tried ebay and amazon but nothing that fits my budget or that is cute. Where else can I find cute baby stuff? My daughter is 6 weeks old and im looking for a playpen. My money range is between $10.00- $50.00 Hello: You have no idea what it is like to raise a child! Don& #039;t even bother answering a question when you are just going to be rude! I do have money and I do want the best for my daughter. You have no right judging me further more insulting me! Get lost! REPORTED!

First of all, im sorry that people are so rude. *for the rude a** that responded about rolling eyes* !! nobody is ever ready financially to have a baby..its a big responsibility & they probably will never know that or find that out because they wont ever find anyone that wants to have a baby with their rude a** !! secondly...to answer your question. you should go on craigslist. they usually have some good deals if you can find a legit one. also, try goodwill..i know some of their stuff is nasty, but once in awhile..you can find cute stuff & good deals ! maybe ask around, friends..family. see if anyone knows anyone..that sorta thing ! i bought my playpen from walmart..it was around $80..but you can def find them cheper that that. garage sales, online classifieds or newspapers, we have a store around here..not sure if you have one where you live, called once upon a child. not sure if they have things in the way of furniture..but i know they have a ton of cute baby clothes..gently used & cute as can be. really cheap too ! good luck & congrats = ]

Mommy, check the Goodwill, Salvation Army and/ or garage sales. Babies have a FAST TURNOVER in clothes, playpens, etc. You can SAVE at those places.

WAL-mART IS the king of cheap products and low prices.

I 'd give Ebay a try... shop.ebay.com/ i.html?_nkw= baby+ playpen &_sacat= 0 &_trksid= p3286.m270.l1311 &_odkw= playpen &_osacat= 0

Ask your friends or people you know that have had babies in your area. chances are, there will be a lot of lightly used items, since babies grow so quickly.

Watch the weekend ads. I picked up a basic play yard to leave at the sitter 's @ K-Mart for $30, maybe $40. Try Craigslist too.

Look around online at different stores - Walmart, Target, Kmart, & Babies R Us. Then just buy which ever one is the cheapest. Usually one of these places has baby items on sale for a nice price. Also, if you register online at Toys R Us/ Babies R Us they 'll send you coupons.

You could try Craigslist. I find a lot of nice things at church consignment sales. They 're about to start up soon for the spring.

Walmart always seems to be the cheapest... keep an eye out for sales papers too. And Ross stores are cheap also!

Look up childrens second hand stores, in Florida they have a couple places that have fairs twice a year and you can get really nice stuff for cheap! Trust me, you 'll find something nice or try family members or friends who have older kids, they might have it or know someone who looking to get rid of stuff. 3/ 4 of my stuff is hand me downs and it doesnt look trashy, its like I bought it new my self. We are using the cribs my boyfriend used 25 years ago, his dad just refinished it and put all new hard wear on it, looks brand new!

We picked up 2 play yards for 25$ off of a girl at a yardsale. she had twins that had outgrown them. they were pretty clean but we still cleaned them really good again. one went to grandmas and one is sitting in my living room i would suggest yard sales and craigslist for some items, youd be suprised what you find sometimes barely even used also try outlet stores or places like TJMaxx or Marshalls or even somewhere like Big Lots if you ahve them in your area. they will occassionally have things like that. i live around pittsburgh and i know these places are pretty easy to find in the north east of the US.

I highly recommend looking on Craigslist.org. I posted there and asked if anyone wanted to get rid of any unneeded baby items. So far, I have picked up a crib, changing table, stroller, swing, playyard, diaper genie, glider rocking chair with ottoman, and baby monitors -- all for free! Everything is in fantastic condition, you would barely know that they are used. The furniture alone would have cost upwards of $1,000. Lots of people sell their gently used items on craigslist. Otherwise, I would recommend checking out Wal-mart, Target, and Babies R Us -- but only buy items when they are on sale. I go almost weekly and have everything I need for when baby arrives, having only spent $200. Also, depending on your financial situation, states give out vouchers for free car seats -- that 's $100 you don 't have to spend. Never get a used car seat or breast pump -- they aren 't safe! Good luck!

Craigslist, local thrift stores, yard sales...you can find some good deals. It is actually best to buy things at places like that, I wish I had done so. Baby things are expensive and they don 't use them long. For example, I paid 180 for a Fisher Price Swing and then weeks later found the same swing on craigslist for 50, I 'm always seeing good deals on there and wish I had saved the money seeing now that all the stuff I paid high dollar for was only used a few months.

Yard sales are great. I don 't know what state you are in, but I know AR And MO both have annual things at the state fairgrounds where you can buy nice, but cheap baby items. I bought an entire year 0-12 months worth of baby clothes at a yard sale for $75. I am currently selling my daughters clothes on ebay and I sell them pretty cheap. I do flat rate shipping boxes full and bidding starts at 99 cents. You can get good deals on ebay for smaller items. Larger items cost more to ship so that woudl not be a good solution for you. You can also try craigslist for larger items. Best of luck to you!

If your looking to buy new items, shop at Target, Wal-Mart or K-Mart. I would not bother using Ebay for buying large baby items as often times they are they same price at the store and can easily rip you off with their shipping prices. If you 're open to the idea of purchasing used items go to yard sales, and if Craigslist has your town, DEFINITELY try there. I purchased my daughters crib, changing table, play pin, excersaucer, high chair and more on Craigslist. When buying used items though do you 're homework and make sure the items you 're interested in haven 't been recalled, look at every part of the item to check for loose parts or anything that could be hazardous. Also, when you use Craigslist or go to yardsales, these people are often times willing to lower their prices $5-$10. Congrats on you 're little one!!
