Question: How far along were you when you set out all your baby items in the room?
(Posted by: ♥ Gimme cho o latte ♥ on 2010-03-01 07:34:07)
Items such as lotions and diapers on the changing table, etc. And when did you put on the bedding? I am excited to get the room all put together but I don& #039;t want it to get dusty. I am 28 weeks. |

I started when I was about 30 weeks. As soon as the crib was delivered, I set everything up. Just make sure to go in there daily, open the blinds up, and let the air stir around so it won 't get too dusty. Even then though, just go in there with a damp cloth and run it over the bedding and other things when you get closer to your date. |

You can get it ready when your 6 months along just keep it clean . Don 't put the baby 's bedding on till your last week . By diapers any time you can stock up. |

We cleaned out the room that is now the nursery, painted and got the furniture in when I was about 5 months. I 'm glad we did it "early " as I wouldn 't have wanted to do that kind of work later on in my pregnancy (and I had a very easy pregnancy!). I think I put the bedding on a couple weeks before my due-date, but I had everything washed and cleaned as soon as I got it at my showers (which were at about 7 & 8 months). Have fun! |

I didn 't set up anything until after she was here, she wasn 't going to sleep in there for some time anyways. |

LOL, I started to buy stuff early on but didn 't set it up until about 7 months just in case, ya know? DOesn 't matter though b/ c we had to take apart the crib and put it into out bedroom. All the other stuff like changing table and stuff just sat for 5 months after birth collecting dust. |

I didn 't have my Daughters room set up till I was 7 or 8 months along. However till this day (She is 4 months old) she has yet to use her room. She still sleeps in a bassinet next to us. I put on her bedding when she was 3 months old thinking that is when we would move her over. But that never happened. |

I think I started at around 30 weeks... It was a very gradual process.... Everything was ready by about 38 weeks, was a bit paranoid because everybody kept telling me " could be any day now!! " and I didn 't want to be disorganized! |
