You 're going to want about 30 jars of baby food and 3 sets of clothes (i like purple!). At the very least you 're looking at 6000 diapers. Will you be bottle feeding? That 's about it!

Clothes (onesies, pjs, hats, mittens, socks etc), blankets, burp cloths, diapers, wipes, diaper ointment, powder, grooming kit, bath stuff (wash cloths, towels, shampoo, etc) pacifiers, bottles, bottle brush, bibs, play gym, bouncy seat, car seat, stroller, swing, crib, bassinet It 's hard to say how much you will need of everything. You will need A LOT of diapers so the more the better. You will need a lot of burp cloths and baby clothes unless you want to wash them every single day. I have a bunch of bottles but only really use 3. But I mostly breastfeed anyway, so you might need more bottles. Just get a basic amount of things you will need and add to it as you go. Add: You don 't wanna use nail clippers because the nails are too soft and very hard to clip without clipping the fingertips. You should just file them in the beginning, whcih they will tell you in the hospital and show you how to do it!!! All that stuff usually comes with a grooming kit. And about the baby powder. Maybe some people should get their facts straight. There is nothing wrong with using powder. It is even recommended, to keep the area dry. What pediatricians recommend you NOT to use is talc based baby powder. So just look for talc-free powder

I have a 4 month old daughter shes my first.ALOT of diapers is very important. Alot of wipes. Also bottles i wouldnt say a huge amount but a decent amount. Plenty of formula. A few bottle cleaners because you dont wanna clean with the same one for a long amount of time. Diaper rash cream is also on the top of the list. I would stick with alot of onesies because your going to be really exhausted the first month and dressing her up is going to get old real quick. Plenty of receiving blankets. If your going to do the pacifier then get those. Burping cloths. some mittens because she will scratch herself and her nails will be pretty long. Alcohol for the umbilical cord. Baby wash and lotion. an then the basics oh and get plenty of germ x because you dont wanna pass on any germs from touching anything...Dont get baby food like zachery said because she wont be able to eat it til about 5 to 6 months...Dont use baby powder on a newborn nor anything else like that..The doctors will tell you not to use baby powder on a newborn. Any lotion you get make sure its fragrance free!!!!! The doctors will also tell you that. And the only thing as for playing that you might wanna get for when she is a newborn is just a swing that plays music because she not going to play with anything til about 3 or 4 months maybe even 5 shes going sleep alot the first couple months! i waited to get my daughter anything shes going to play with. Make sure the wipes are sensitive kind for her when she is a newborn. Also baby nail clippers because their nails grown back fast when they are cut. My daughter 's nails still grow back fast. FYI if you go with brown eyed girl 's advice your going to be buying alot of stuff you arent going to use. Lol your choice tho! And im right on the baby powder ask any doctor. As for cutting nails They do not say dont cut baby 's nails they say they would advise filing them. ONLY because most people are scared to cut their baby 's nails. If you are careful and know what your doing then cutting their nails is fine.
