I know Joann fabrics sells sleepwear fabrics. They are treated with chemicals though ;-(~ I like the more natural fibers, cotton, wool, hemp etc. If you make the jammies snug, they don 't need to be flame resistant. Also if you co-sleep you have a lot more choices, from flannels to stretch terrycloth. If the baby sleeps alone, I wouldn 't use cheap fleece because it is not normally rated for infant sleepwear. It is polyester and can melt if exposed to flame. Of course, all this advice is from a woman that bought two yards of pajama satin for pajamas for my 8 year-old. She is now 10.5 and still no jammies!-) |
