Question: Are there any brand of baby socks that don't fall off?
(Posted by: Claire on 2007-12-31 16:22:14)
My 4 month old baby& #039;s socks are always falling off! I can& #039;t find a brand that stays on for more than 2 minutes. Anyone know of any? |

By a bigger size. They go up to their knees but they stay on and keep their feet warm! |

I don 't know what brand they are but I find the ones that go right up to his knees stay on the best. Also I got a pack of the George socks from Walmart (8pk) and they aren 't too bad but they don 't tend to hold up well, I 've had to toss a couple pairs for the threads all coming loose. The other ones that seem to work best came from the dollar store. Having to constantly put socks back on because they fall off is one thing, I give my 5 month old about 2 more weeks before he figures out how to take them off himself and then I 'm gonna look for baby garter belts for his socks LOL > |

I found some Gap, Old Navy and others that don 't fall off if they are made of stretchy material, not the terry or cotton kind. |

Yes! When my son was born I bought alot of Gerber socks thinking that they were the best and they would keep falling off. Now the only socks I buy are from family dollar. U can go to familydollar.com to find one near u or just go to the dollar store or a dollar general. I get 2 pair of socks for one dollar. And they work good he has yet to take them off. |

I 've found that what works best for my daughter so far is to buy the socks that are long enough that you can fold them over. You need them to be snug enough that you need to stretch the cuff a little to put it on. that way when you fold it over that bit of elastic is right over the ankle bone and keeps the sock from slipping down. |

In a word....no! Not that I 've found, I wish they did. I find that the smaller the better though because they are tighter (but not overly tight) and so they stick a bit. My son is 9 months and on the move so his socks last a maximum of about, oo erm, 5 minutes!! We 've given up with them at home!! |

I 've found that the longer socks stay on best. |

I do respite in a Medical Foster home, and I find that Carter 's Bubble socks are the best. Normally sold 6 pairs on a card not a sealed bag. They are available at many stores and range from $10.00 to $12.00. Kohl 's has them on their on-line site. Sold in size 0-12 months and size12-24 months at Carter 's outlet stores. And if they don 't work for you, I 've found that putting Robeez 's on too has kept infants though 18 months from removing both the Robeez 's and the socks underneath. Hope this helps. |

YES! Trumpettes. They are sold at Bellini Baby Boutiques and if you don 't have one nearby you can order them online, I think from bellini as well. Try googling "trumpettes infant socks ". They make very cute patterns for both boys and girls and they are the only socks my daughter has never gotten off. A little bit pricier than average but not much, and since they stay on, one isn 't always missing, making them last longer. Old Navy and Gap have some that will stay on but they cost about the same and don 't last as well or look quite as cute- if you 're like me, I like cute, I 'm kind of goofy that way I guess... |

I get socks from the Children 's Place. They 're the roll down kind so you can always pull them up in the winter to cover more of the leg and roll them down in the warmer weather. They never slip off and they stretch well too. They 're a little more expensive than if you got the ones in the package in Walmart or Target, but they 're well worth it because of the longevity and sometimes they have them on sale so it works out well. |

I was having the same problem until I bought the cheap "Faded Glory " brand from Wal Mart. They are plain white and come like 10 in a pack and they are wonderful. Another mom told me about them andthey really work. They never fall off. Give em a try, it worked for me! |
