Question: Aussie parents! i need to find plain black baby socks or pre-walker shoes!! any ideas where?

My SIL is getting married in 2 weeks (my whole family is in the wedding party and its a very formal wedding) and I have looked everywhere for PLAIN BLACK baby socks size 6- 18months/ shoe size 2- 5. My son is nearly 8 months old and is wearing his older brothers old suit from my wedding and every other sock i have tried looks silly with a black and white suit. I have even looked for little black pre- walker shoes instead and can& #039;t get them either. I don& #039;t want to make a big fuss about it or seem over the top but when your little baby is wearing a proper suit and looks so cute and then has weird coloured socks on, it looks funny!! and will reflect that in the family photos we are having taken too. Any ideas where you may have seen plain black prewalkers size 3- 4 or plain black socks??? Cheers guys! thanks charli, My MIL suggested dieing a pair of white socks black but I kinda wanted little shoes, I did try best n less but they didn& #039;t have any soft soled prewalkers in black.....but i did pick up a white and blue pair cos they were too cute and i couldn& #039;t leave the store without them, lol! thanks gracie, I& #039;m glad i& #039;m not alone in thinking that coloured socks looks weird! I was starting to think i was getting a little up myself for having to have black, lol Wedding is 2 weeks from tomorrow, 21st march. I& #039;ve looked in kmart with no luck...but you never know what they are bringing out with the beginning of winter approaching so I& #039;m looking all the time just in case! yes looked in pumpkin patch....lots of grey...no darn black, lol |

Best & Less. They aren 't shoe shoes, but they are soft little slip ons and work perfectly with suits. I have some somewhere, from when I had Ryan & Cody named. That 's where we bought them. If that fails, dye a pair of slippers black. When do you need them Cindy?? I will have a search over the weekend, and if I find my boys shoes, I will send them over. You can get black socks though, from K-mart. |

Try target or best and less all else fails go to one of those sock stalls you find in westfield or any other big shopping mall you should be able to find something and no wearing coloured socks with a suit would look weird i wouldnt do it lol |

Knit a pair or have someone else knit them. |

When my son was a baby he was in our wedding wearing a suit, and we also couldnt find the black socks ( they are as rare as hen 's teeth, I understand the frustration there, lol) We ended up going to a shoe shop and buying him a tiny little pair of grosby black pull on dress boots. The looked so cute all new and shiny, and then after the wedding, when he started to learn to walk, he got a bit of wear out of them too. Good luck, hope you find something! |
