NB socks don't stay on at all. You need the ones with the nice tight cuffs, which ae mostly the larger sized. But really, you odn't need socks at first. Its not like their feet are ever on the floor - and its either too warm for socks in the summer, or footed onsies are soooo much easier in the winter. I would def. skip the NB socks and just put him in the bigger size, so you can actually get some use out of them (around 6 months a lot of baby clothes are more "normal " pants/ shirts vs onsies, plus they actually like being held standing so socks make some level of sense).

My son had big feet and they lasted all of 2 weeks before they would pop right off his heels, he wears 6-12 m socks at 9 weeks!

I really can't remember. I know they were tiny and they would never stay on his feet. So I quit putting them on him. It was summer, he didn't even wear shoes most of the time.

I had a few newborn socks but his feet were so big he grew out of them pretty quickly. I'd get a few pairs if you're planning on dressing you newborn in stuff other than babygrows

I would say 0-6. I bought newborn booties for my children and then bought the bigger socks...some kids grow fast!

Bigger socks will always fit- little socks won't! :-) It might be safer to have the baby drowning in socks you can fold over than having cold feet from them popping off- Baby socks are a pain no matter which way you go though!

From a very personal perspective my son didn't wear socks at all for the first few months. It would all depend on your preference for clothes. If you want baby to wear proper clothes like dresses or trousers then they will need socks to keep their toes warm. But when my son was tiny he wore the all in one suits which had feet attached. It would also depend on the weather. If it is hot most of the time baby might be cooler without socks

It's hard to find socks that will actually stay on babies feet. I found it worked best to put socks and then slippers on (Robeez work awesome). I used newborn socks because my babies had little feet and the 0-6 month ones were bigger.

Hey Hon I have lots of socks, got mine quite cheap from Asda and Matalan. I have some from Next that are 0-3 months Some from Asda 0-6 months and some from Matalan that are 0-0. Im sure these will keep her going to the end of the year seeing as she is due June. Go with 0-6 months if any. Hope you are well. Good Luck Shopping :-) XxXx

You should get the 0-6m size. My daughter lived in her socks we bought. I got the Maryjane socks by trumpette and love them. They never fell off and the come in so many different colors. I just bought the 1-2 yr. size for her. just google trumpette socks and you will find their entire line.

Don't worry about socks or shoes!!! Somehow - don't ask me how - but they wriggle out of them EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! It's summer - go barefooted!!!

My son only wore newborn socks for a couple weeks and then we switched to 0-6 months. He only wore those for about a month before they got too small. He's 3 1/ 2 months now and we use 6-12 month size. So, I wouldn't invest in too many newborn socks.

0-6 are probably fine - and buy loads of socks as well, you can never have too many!

My daughter has huge feet she was never able to wear newborn socks. now my little cousin on the other hand who is 5 months old is very petite is just now outgrowing her newborn socks. it all depends on the baby and if you get the socks with the higher ankles. those ones even if they are big wont fall off as easily.
