(Posted by: beemom on 2010-05-19 11:59:12)
I want to buy two pairs of this cute baby shoes/ socks for my twins but I need an honest opinion do you like them or not and why. If you like them what style would you buy for a girl and what for a boy? the website of the shoes socks is www.sockoes.com |

As long as the bottom are soft, then either are fine in my opinion. No hard soles. Those socks are CUTE. :) For a girl, I would go with the pink flower ones. They 're subdued and would match most outfits that my daughter had at that age. For a boy I 'd probably go with the black sneakers one and the cute diamonds one or the dinosaur one. We mostly used outfits that had built in socks so the baby couldn 't kick them off. And no shoes except for like church or pictures until she was starting to stand, and then only if we were going outside and she might get to walk around there. I think she didn 't really wear shoes persay until she was really walking at 10 months, then we 'd put something on when we 'd go out and she 'd want to try to walk. |

Not knowing specifically which ones you mean, I 'm assuming you 're talking about something like th Johnny socks that are designed to look like little sneakers. I loved those for my son and bought the mary jane socks for my daughter. IMO, little feet don 't need to be stuffed into shoes until they are actually mobile. |

Socks will be used more. Shoes are just for pictures, socks keep their feet warm. Socks can also be placed on hands, or even used as emergency snot or spit up rags. |

I didn 't start putting shoes on my daughter until she was about 2-3 months old and only if we go out. I like the looks of shoes if shes wearing an outfit but they aren 't necessary. I only use socks if I have shoes on her. edit: hmm...those are personally not my style so no...I wouldn 't buy something like that. They might be good for around the house if you have hardwood floors and your kids are learning to walk or stand to prevent slips but thats about all I would use them for. |

Socks for around the home and baby shoes when you go out the home or some place special..or taking pictures..don 't use them all day thru..since,they can 't walk yet. |

Since you didn 't give a link, I 'm going to assume you mean socks and shoes in general. Up until recently when she started to crawl around more I rarely tried to put shoes on my daughter. She hates them and tries to pull them off, typically having one off before I can even get the other on. For me, baby shoes have been mostly a waste of money. My daughter doesn 't like socks much better but she tolerates them a little more, though I have to be diligent and buy socks she has a hard time pulling off. The hospital gift shop where I delivered my daughter had these adorable socks that looked like shoes. They had sneakers and Mary Jane styles. They were adorable, though my daughter has long since out grown them. She has lots of socks with characters on them, Piglet, Pooh, animals, etc. |

I love these. They actually have some at Target. I will probably buy some for my daughter but not until she is up walking or possibly crawling. |
