Baby Walker

Question: Baby walker vs. saucer bouncer?

We bought our son a saucer and when we were at his 4 month checkup his doctor asked if we got the saucer not the baby walker and I told him yes we got the saucer. He said good b/ c a lot of babies get hurt from using the baby walker. Is that true?

Can be. the walkers can fall down stairs....the kids can walk right off the edge :o)

My pediatrician said that at our 4 months check up. He also said that walkers cause walking delays because they make the baby toe when they walk

Yes there are some dangers to the walker. they can bump into things, fall out of doorways, etc. the saucer bouncer is just as good, but it works on their leg muscles more.

There both fine ive used both on my 2 girls and my son who is almost 5 months i use a walker for him and he loves it cause he can move and not just stay in one spot just watch them is all and it does not cause delays in walking cause it NEVER did with my 2 girls which r 8 and 4 now.

Walkers are outlawed in some countries like Canada. They have been known to cause injuries from children falling down stairs in them etc. If babies do use them they should be supervised every minute. Exersaucer type stationary "Walkers " are better because they are much safer. They do strengthen the same leg muscles that walkers do. All three of my children used Exersaucers and loved them.
