Baby wraps?

Question: Baby wraps?

(Posted by: on 2008-05-09 23:48:22)

Does any one know where i can find a baby wrap pattern on the internet??? (not the slings) one of those wraps that go over you and the baby- sort of like a tshirt, like a sling thing but with no buckles or rings.

Just use a piece of fabric and knot it over your shoulder. Its pretty much a no-brainer. Hem the ends if you want.

A swaddling blanket? It 's just a larger than normal recieving blanket. I 'd just make a large square. Light cotton for summer and flannel for winter. HTH I did find one for ya. *edit* OHHHH ok here. look at this one then. I changed the link from the swaddling wrap to the moby wrap one.

Well you don 't really need a pattern...5 to 5 1/ 2 feet long, 22-24 inches wide. Get the full length, not good to have a weight-bearing seam in the middle so make sure you get a bolt w/ enough fabric for a seamless piece. Hem the ends, and either hem the sides or use a knit fabric that rolls when stretched instead of fraying. Something with a little bit of stretch but not too much. That really is all it takes. And you can get ideas for how to tie it for different carries from the Moby and Ellaroo websites. Have fun! Edit: Oh, and with the width most bolts of fabric come in you can always get at least two wraps out of the fabric you have to buy, so you can make one for you and give one to a friend!
