I was told that the Moby wrap is great although with the material being stretchy it isn& #039;t as effective when baby is over 15 pounds or so. I was told to get a woven wrap. SO far I have looked at the Metro mamma, Ella Roo, the gypsy gauze. I am confused. I already have two snugglies and a sling that just dont& #039; work for us.

Get a baby bjorn, it is great and cute, slings are too trendy for me

I liked the Ergo carrier best, as it doesn 't really have a maximum weight cut off. A wrap is more versatile, it allows you to select different positions for the baby, but it involves more engineering for you every time you put it on.

I have the maya wrap and my baby LOVES napping in it. it is a ring sling and is adjustable. it 's a little more forgiving than the sling...at least that 's what i 've heard from people who have a specifically fit sling. i found that there are really good reviews at thebabywearer.com. good luck!

I 'm partial to the Ultimate baby wrap because you can use it pretty much any way - over two shoulders, sling, front, back, etc. amazon.com/ Parents-Invention-Ultimate-Wrap-Black/ dp/ B0009RMHC8/ ref= pd_bbs_sr_1?ie= UTF8 &s= baby-products &qid= 1214863860 &sr= 8-1 If you can, find a store that sells baby slings/ wraps and go and try on several different types. Slings are great, but there are a lot out there that aren 't made with the mother 's comfort in mind! You may have to spend a little extra.

I had the Sleepy Wrap recommended to me. I have since ordered one and am awaiting its arrival in the mail. Supposedly it 's the best wrap out there.

I have a Maya Wrap and I love it too! I just got it a few days ago. My daughter is almost 12 weeks old and she is very comfy in it. Also it has many options on how to wear it as baby grown and can be worn up to 35 lbs. They have a great website with lots of information. mayawrap.com/ index.php

You will probably have to try a few different wraps before you find the right one for you. I have a Baby K 'tand and I love it! It goes from newborn to 40 pounds and can be used in 8 positions and, unlike a Baby Bjorn, can be used to nurse discretely in public. The website provides instructional videos and there is a learning curve, but once I got the hang of it, I was very happy with my purchase.

Check out this website.. It has an overview of all the different slings/ carriers and lets you know the features of each. slingstation.com Personally I use a Moby wrap and an ergo carrier. The Moby is VERY comfortable and great to use on a newborn. The only con (in my opinion) is that there is SO much material that it 's annoying to put on several times a day or in public where the material will drag on the floor while you put it in. My baby is 3-months old and weighs about 14 pounds and i am TOTALLY comfy in the moby! i have no problems with it at all... I also got an Ergo carrier which i 've been using more often lately. It 's very fast/ easy to put baby in/ out of the carrier. Much better than a baby bjorn too b/ c the bjorn puts all the pressure on the baby 's crotch which may cause problem with his/ her spine. The Ergo has the baby sit on its butt so it 's much better for him/ her. Also the weight limit is waaay higher for the Ergo than it is for the bjorn. You can only put the baby in facing you (can 't face outward). Another good thing is that the Ergo fits both me and my husband! This website has a 90-day money back guarantee.. myfavoritebabycarrier.com If you can, try to go out and try on different carriers/ wraps. Ask your friends if you can try theirs out. I don 't know where you are located but the Pump Station in Santa Monica has a bunch of different wraps/ slings/ carriers that you can try out and they also have free sling clinics!! woven wraps are nice, but pretty pricey. the moby is $35-40. For the long term, I highly recommend getting the ergo over a wrap!
