Im going to be doing a sponsored slim for a charity i am fond of, i am wondering however what my goal weight loss should be.I am 5ft 7 " and weight just under 14 stone so im definately overweight, i have had 4 children which has been tough on my body but i am now in the right place to make a long term change...i have already started losing weight of an average 1-2ib a week just by eating slightly healthier and excercising slightly more.I will have roughly 6 months to lose the weight but im unsure what my goal weight should be...i want a slight challenge but i dont want it to be unrealistic as that will help no one, i can increase my excercising more but not loads as i have 4 kids to look after (2 are under 2.5years)Any ideas or helpful advice be great thankyou

A question about weight loss and skin...?
I am embarking on a weight loss regime, which is extremely healthy. I am exercising everyday, and eating very well.I need to lose, in order to get down to a healthy weight around 5 stone. However, I personally would like to lose 7 stone in weight.I am petrified that I will have saggy skin as a result of such a large amount of weight lost. I turned 18 a few months ago. What is the chance of this happening? It really makes me sick with worry.Thank you for your time.

ok, so i know that weight loss is not an easy task. I have started so many times and then give up because i see little to no results. I need to lose AT LEAST 25 pounds if not 40 pounds by May as I am getting married soon and going on vacation and i just want to be healthier. For the last 2 months I have been eating very well. Lots of fruits, veggies, only whole wheat products, & yogurt. My calorie intake is less than 1300 a day and I drink water like its going out of style. I do wii fit 3 times a week for usually 30-60 mins as well as using weights. In the last month I have only lost like 4-5lbs and cannot figure out why I am not losing more. or seeing better results. I do not have time or money for a gym membership at the moment. can anyone suggest a diet plan or workout that really works?? I am a nanny and usually have a couple hours during the day that I can spend on working out too. Any fitness dvds that actually show results? i need serious advice. btw, I am 24, 5 '8 and 200lbs.

Help with weight loss!?
I currently weigh 235 lbs and would like to lose 50 lbs by July but the only problem is I work 9 pm-5 am Sunday-Thursday and I can 't afford a gym membership right now (I just started a job) and lots of times I get in from work and am so tired that I 'll just sleep all day (until time to go back to work). Ever since january I 've been eating much healthier but haven 't seen any weightloss so far. I am so determined to lose this weight and have been drinking ONLY water, eating only grilled chicken, vegetables, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (on whole grain bread). I usually eat two meals a day. What can I do to help with my weight loss?

I 'm 20 years old and 18lbs into an 80lb weight loss. I 'm aware that I will never have a tight, toned body. Even at my smallest weight I always had some extra meat on me and I never had ab definitions. But I was healthy and looked/ felt good.So, I don 't mind being a little jiggly. I can accept that. I just don 't want to be a small person hidden in a layer of unsightly, sagging skin. And I don 't want deflated boobs. I know my boobs will get smaller, but they were always big and I just don 't want them to take on a noticeably deflated appearance.My stomach already hangs VERY slightly. It does not cover my....parts.....or anything, but there is a pouch and I 'm worried that it will not tighten back up after weight loss.BTW- I eat 1500 calories a day, drink tons of water, take baths with baby oil, moisturize my skin regularly, lose about 2-2.5lbs a week and do strength training three times a week (the strength training includes an 8 minute ab routine).So like I said, I know I 'll never have abs like Janet Jackson, but I 'm worried that my stomach will be saggy and gross. HELPI have many stretch marks and I don 't really mind them anymore as they are fading overtime. I just don 't want unsightly, saggy skin.

Foods for weight loss?
I need to lose weight!! I work out at least 4 times a week, cardio and weight lifting, and eat fairly healthy. I do not eat fast food and eat alot of vegetables. I know what i should not be eating, but what SHOULD i be eating to help with metabolism and weight loss? Are there any certain types of foods/ drinks/ vitamins that will help with that??

Questions about weight loss and the gym? :]?
I 'm not over weight, but it seems my weight pools in my thighs. Literally, my thighs and butt are all of my weight. To keep everything simple, I want to lose about 10 pounds, THE HEALTHY way, i want a lifestyle chance that will stick with me forever, and not just rapidly lose 10 pounds in a month and then gain it right back.I 've never really been "healthy " i guess, but i 've never been overweight, i guess luck was just on my side my whole life until recently i started gaining some weight. I realize that if i don 't start getting in the habbit of excersising and eating healthy it 'll catch up with me later, and i 'll regret it. Mainlt i just want to know what machines in the gym will help me overall tone my body (since i don 't really have weight to lose) but specifically flatten my belly (i want like, a natalie portman belly :P) and my hips, thighs, and glutes. Yesterday at the gym i did 30 minutes on the eliptical (2.5 miles) and about 15 minutes on a bike (i think about 3 miles) and then just some simple arm and leg resistance, since i havent been to the gym, or really physical in over a year. ALSO! On the elliptical, or if i 'm running, i have a very hard time with my breathing, i get short of breath easily and after awhile it feels like my throat is closing up and my lungs are going to collapse (especially if i 'm outside running, i can last maybe a minute or 2 and thats it without stopping) is this something i 'll just have to train my body to get used to? Because i could run forever (physically wise, my legs and muscles feel fine) except my lungs and throat feel like there going to stop working :Pthanks so much in advance! :DEDIT: Just started working out yesterday, since i just got my gym membership a few days ago. Deffinitely plan on going at least 5-6 days a week if not everyday. I 'm trying to lost this weight and get the body i want by summer. And since i live in Texas and it 's been around 74-80 lately, it 's practically summer :P

I started working out not this past Monday but the Monday before and I have been watching what I have been eating. I have already lost 7 pounds and its terrific. I am very overweight and I 'm trying to get healthy. I recently started taking Vitamin B100 pills. Any other tips?

Is my weight loss goal possible?
So I have been working out for a while now and I 'm finally starting to see results..however I have a question...I 'm about 210 lbs now..I want to be at somewhere close to 160lbs by mid to late June..is this possible? I am a 16 yr old 5 '5 male and I workout most days(today I didn 't cause I have a terrible cold,but of course I slightly passed my calorie limit today) for about 25-30 minutes. I eat fast food 2-3 times a week usually but I always plan ahead to make sure I dont pass my calorie limit. So my basic question is this..of I keep up my calorie income now(anywhere between 1500-2000 a day usually) can I be in shape by preferably late May but more realistically June/ july

How do anorexics hide their weight loss from their parents?
I am not anorexic myself, but I was curious. Don 't parents SEE that you are losing weight? I can understand making excuses not to eat and finding ways to skip meals, but can 't they physically see you are getting WAY too thin?

Im having such a hard time with weight loss?
im 17 female, and i 've been trying since november now to loose weight. at one point, i lost 13 pounds. but i gained it back and now i 've lost only 8. i notice no difference in my body AT ALL. i workout 6 days a week for an hour. i run for 30 mins and strength for 30 mins. i 've been super healthy with my diet, i only drink water and crystal light lemonade...i eat tons of fruit, i don 't have ANY junkfood whats so ever, i don 't eat after 7 pm.WTF am i doing wrong ? i even changed my workout to a harder one and i 've been stuck at 124 pounds for 1 whole month now.is this common for teens? if so, what can i do to loose fat? im so frustrated because ive worked so hard for basically nothing.

How to get a flat stomach fast (NOT weight loss)?
I 'm already at a great weight (101 pounds) and very happy with my body.I could certainly stand to tone my muscle up a bit but I 'm very comfortable in a bikini :PI have a long distance boyfriend coming into town tonight and I 'm a little bloated today :/ I noticed that when I go to the gym I leave feeling a little bit tighter and look a little bit slimmer.I was wondering if there was a way to tighten up temporarily for tonight.I heard cold showers or ice packs work but it sounds kind of fishy lol.So I guess I 'm going to do some basic ab and leg workouts and then take a cold shower after and see how that works.If you have any input or experienced answers that would be awesome!I 'm not looking for some crash diet to lose weight, just a little trick to tighten up fast.Thanks in advance for your answers!I mean.. like a flat stomach TONIGHT. lol.I currently work out often I 'm just bloated.

Atkins diet for weight loss?

Please help with weight loss?
I need to loose about 10 pounds. I had been eating 1200-1500 calories a day and workout consistently but nothing happened. I actually gained a pound which I 'm alright with because I 'm pretty sure it was muscle but I lost nothing from my waist(which is my biggest trouble spot). I 've been eating clean, doing cardio and strength exercises but nothing is happening. And I 've now become very discouraged and have eaten badly the past couple of days. Will I have loose skin after weight loss?
Hi! OK, so I 'm a 19 year old female. I 'm 5 '7 " and I weigh 267 lbs (yes, I know I 'm obese, I 'm working on it, I 've already lost 25 lbs). Well I want to lose around 117 lbs but I 'm a little afraid of losing the weight and having loose skin. I eat very healthy and I exercise (weights & cardio), I also drink 8 glasses of water everyday and I moisturize my skin 3 times a day. I 've only been over weight for about 4 years If that matters.I just want to know if I will have a lot of loose saggy skin when I lose the weight. Any advice is great. Thanks.

I don't feel a difference in my weight loss?
Middle to late december, I was trying to watch what I ate and I ran and exercised for about an hour 4-5 times a week with a friend of mine. My schedule got busy so middle january I bought the Insanity workout dvd 's. I 've been doing them and I don 't feel a difference in my weight. I don 't own a scale so I "m not sure. but my clothes still feel the same and the person in the mirror looks exactly the same. Last time I weighed myself I was 160 and I 'm five foot five inches tall. I 'm getting desperate and discouraged. I 've looked into laxative diets but I don 't think those will work as you can only hold so much in your intestines. Idk what to do. I 'm at a loss. comments would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Now here is the kicker, about a month ago I had a very sever pilonidal cyst. I had surgery on it but it has yet to be fully sealed. This means it 's still open. This in case has taken me out of P.E. for my high school for showering purposes and stuff like that. I am able to do stuff but can 't get around to it. All I have at home is a bench with some small barbells, an eliptical, and a treadmill. Is there anyone that has gone through something similar and or has had difficulty losing weight? Please give some suggestions.

Am i doing right things for weight loss?
i am trying to be on a hardcore diet by eating right and exercising. if anyone has any food they recommend that would be greatly appreciated. I bought the jilian michaels 14 days cleanse system and if you have taken it will you let me know if it works?? also, i am taking B-12 for metabolism. In the mornings, i have been eating a bowl of Special K cereal with skim milk or a Specail K bar. For lunch, i usually get a salad. But i use spinach instead of lettuce and barely any ranch. i am in college so i don 't know if it 's light ranch or regular. I dont have many options in the cafeteria for healthy... For dinner, it 's usually about the same. I will get a salad or a turkey and cheese sandwich with nothing on it and a fruit cup. i have not drank any sodas at all. Strictly water or sometimes juice. I have been exercising when i can. Am i doing everything right? and do you have any tips to help? Thanksmy weight is 230. when i started college, i gained A LOT! i know it 's bad but well, that is why i am trying to get healthy bc this isn 't me. I 'm bout to turn 20 in a month and i 'm 5 '6
