They recommend the BMI or Body Mass Index. nhlbisupport.com/ bmi/ It is a simple calculation based on height and weight. Once you have your BMI you can then see what category you fit into: Underweight, Normal weight, Overweight, or Obesity. That is the standard, so if for example your calculation is 30, you are overweight. However if your calculation is 24, you are normal weight. Then it is a matter of looking at your 'figure ' and deciding if perhaps the fat distribution is correct? For example if you are normal weight but you have a large belly that you wish to get rid of. Or perhaps your ass is too big. You can then shift the fat, by exercise, toning up of those specific areas. A word of warning, us Humans are animals and we will find that the Seasons will have a serious influence on our body weight. I think the Cave Man gene tells us to put weight on to get us over the cold winter and then take it off for the hot summer. |
