Flaxseed and weight loss?

Question: Flaxseed and weight loss?

Is any one taking flaxseed? have you noticed a difference in the rate of weight loss? Also, when should i take it( with meals, before, after, morning, everning) or should i divide it and take it throughout the day? ( i am already on a low cal diet and exercise program, but want to see more results) Any info about flaxseed is welcomed!

My buddy did a 10 page paper about the efficacy of this very idea at CSU Fort Collins. He has a sports/ fitness degree now. The amount needed to make any difference would probably make you sick typically around 40-50 grams a day GRAMS NOT MG. I think he said something like a couple buckets, some ridiculous amount. That said it is good for you and will make a great addition to a diet, but certainly won 't cause weight loss.
