I am 5'4 and 250 pounds. I know its disgusting!!!!!!! i am planning on starving myself. i want my husband to love me for my skinny body, and my parents to stop treating me like SHIT!!!! i can't afford diet plans, programs ect,,,,, and am wondering how fast i will lose weight as long as i never eat another item of food again. i have talked to couselors and they don't help. i am fed up with being judged for my looks. my family (parents and sister) think that i will be dead when im 30 which is in six years. i have been married since september 07, and the whole wedding day was a shammble. my father tried telling me i could lv my hubby at the alter, and then he had to find out what size my wedding dress was. so he went and asked my older sister, whoe telss him everthing...... i have pcos and haven't been able to get preggo, and my family is supportive of not getting pregnant. they hate me and my hubby, as wellas my twin sister. any ideas for starvation? i have low blood sugar, but don't care what happens to me. i want to lose 50 pounds fast and will do anything to get there...... Sincerely Troubled in Ohio |

By not eating, in the long run, you 'll gain more weight. if you loose it the right way by eating vegetables and exercising, you CAN loose the weight. don 't starve yourself, because that will only worsen your situation. |

Let me explain to you what you would be doing to your body. You drastically reduce the amount of calories you are taking in, but still continue your daily tasks. Your body starts off losing weight, simply because it is getting less calories than it is expending. Now, after about a week or at most two, you body realizes that it is not going to be getting enough food anytime soon, so it damn near shuts your metabolism down until you are barely burning any calories. At this point, your energy level plummets, your weight loss plateaus and you start getting moody. When you do eat, however little it is, your body is going to latch onto the calories, turning it into fat reserves as quickly as it can, and your body WILL NOT burn off those calories, because it never knows when it will get food again. This is called starvation mode, and it is simply your body trying to SURVIVE. More than likely, you will only end up gaining weight. Welcome to anorexia, a miserable and sad life that you really should stop trying to become a part of. If you are intent on losing weight, then do it right. Eat 4-6 small, healthy meals a day, snack on fruits and veggies, and get up and exercise. But it 's your life. Try to learn to starve yourself if that 's what you want. |

What ever you do, do not crash diet as it 's a known fact that you will put all that weight back on. The best way to lose weight is to cut your calorie intake. For women to lose they should not consume more than 1200 calories a day and for a guy its 1500. The other thing is - if you are not into exercise try a brisk walk each day. This will help burn calories too. Last but not least - your body needs vitamins and minerals to function properly. Even if you ate all the healthiest food in the world you would still not get the nutrients your body needs so you need to boost these with vitamins and minerals. I was overweight too and I lost 40 kilos by doing the following; I have a herbalife shake in the morning mixed with fruit (like a smoothie) I have that again for lunch. I eat herbalife snack bars, 5 fruits a day and tons of fresh steamed vegetables and a normal (low fat) dinner. I drink 8 glasses of water a day and take a brisk walk each morning. I have so much energy, feel great and maintain my weight without putting it back on. Remember; you are what you eat so it is all about lifestyle. You will do it but make it fun and not a drab. You will lapse but that 's OK. Reward yourself when you lose and weigh yourself once a week not everyday. If you need more advise feel free to contact me. Good luck |

You need to accept yourself for who you are and lose weight for yourself not anyone else. I 'm sure your husband loves you the way you are and if not the hell with him. I was 5 '4 " and 255 when I gave birth to my daughter. I slowly dropped 80 lbs in 3 yrs. Now I am working on eating healthy and living healthy because it effects the way you think and feel. Try being positive everyday and get rid of all the negative thoughts. Once you do that you will be able to work on your goal of losing 50 lbs. |

You say you don 't care what happens to you - then why bother? You 'll be in the hospital or could end up killing yourself. You need to start by keeping a journal everyday of what and how much you eat. Then see what you need to change. You have a decent amount of weight to loose so it really won 't be hard if you set your mind to it and make the changes that you need. Several years ago after my son was born I had gained a lot of weight and tried almost every diet I could find without any luck. My doctor told me I may be diabetic so I found a book called "sugarbusters ". I followed what the books said to do. Luckily I wasn 't diabetic, but after a couple of months I dropped almost all the weight and a few more months got down to a size smaller then I was expecting. It 's not so much of a diet as a "lifestyle ". You have to stick with it. Once you get used to it you don 't even think about it. You have to eliminate certain foods. It 's not the fat, calories or anything else. I can out eat almost every guy that I work with and could stay at a size 8. It 's not about how much you eat, but what you eat. The diet it focused more on people that are diabetic, but if you have low blood sugar then you still can do it. Just eat often and don 't completely restrict yourself of carbs and sugars. Eat the RIGHT ones. There are a lot of people on here with great ideas and information. Look online for online diet programs. There 's even discussion forums with people that share information and try to help motivate each other. There 's a lot of help out there if you take the time to do it right. You can 't prove anything to anyone if you are not around. |
